How do I find out how much fuel to have for a 30min race or is it done automatically?
Pretty much the same as GTL, do a few practice laps to see how much fuel you use per lap, work out how many laps you can fit into 30mins & go from there. I find a calculator helps.

Do at least 2 consecutive laps in practice and the game predicts how far you can go. See that in the setup where you set fuel, add or reduce based on the number of laps you expect to do. I'd tell you but I've not driven the car so I have no idea. RRE guess is usually a little generous but I usually ensure I have best part of 2 laps extra just in case.

The setup "usuallly" sets itself to a good guess based on the laps for the race But it's not dependable. If there are pitstops you can set "Safe" "Normal" and err "Risky?" or you can set the level manually.
I will (or someone will) post a reasonable safe amount for tonight.

There are probably some log files, I will have a look
EDIT: So, there are a couple of server log files, but they are encrypted and just look like ancient Egyptian You can send them to Sector 3 for analysis if you want to.
You are not in the results file at all, so no help there.

Sort of enjoyed that, if enjoying masochism is allowed Wel done Riccardo, and Massimo for the amazing pace, and hearty cheers to any finishers Lucked in with a 3rd place finish. Was not able to complete a qually lap without a cut track or spin so just tried to follow the pack until people started falling off. Eventually caught up to a recovering Geoffers who then went off again heavily (it looked like) so went past, then had a minor off myself, but Geoff had left by then so just poddled round to the finish 6 months and 3 days behind Massimo and Riccardo Tough cars these Next one is more "normal" the DTM92 still need some care though.

Didn't have a setup ready this time so just stuck it on map 5 and guessed fuel. Should have checked the posts above though because it become clear my fuel estimate was woefully short. Started fuel saving around half distance but with a couple of laps to go it was clear I wasn't going to make it so came in. And then stopped in the pitlane while I tried to remember how to configure pitstops in RRE.. Enjoyed the car the car though, good fun. Congrats Riccardo, Massimo and Matt.

Like Matt, I really enjoyed the challenge of this car, but it can be frustrating at times.
Congrats to Riccardo, Massimo & Matt on the podium. Amazing pace Massimo in particular got out of the car, I presume from their speed on the straights that they used engine map 5. I stuck with 4 because although it was not too tricky to manage the car in the slow corners on 5, I just had huge amounts of understeer in the fast corners which required backing right off & I ended up no faster than with map 4 over a lap.
For the race though I made the big mistake of using the soft tyres & it was clear after half a dozen laps that they were not going to last the distance. The rears eventually gave up the unequal struggle on lap 10, which as Matt saw ended up with me in the barriers with a wrecked car.
I don't know what others thought, but this seems to be one of those cars where the setup can make a huge difference to the laptimes. Would it be better with this kind of car to run fixed setup to even out the playing field a little?

great race with these very difficult cars, but also a lot of fun if you survive, I had map 5 and soft tires, I knew I had to be conservative to get to the end of the race and I kept a gentle pace throughout the race, it was important not to make mistakes. Massimo was very fast but if he wanted to get to the end of the race he too had to raise the pace of the race. the next there will also be Isacchini and Baldoni, and with the DTMs the fight will rarely be tough ....

I am always scared of fixed setups, as sometimes I can't drive them, and would avoid the race. The default for these was drivable, as in map 3 and a drivable setup, so that would have worked ok I find some default setups have the brake bias so far forward I can' use the brakes. With Riccardo, Massimo, Iasacchini and Baldoni, the fight will always be tough I gave up using the DTM92 because they ruined the handling in their last downdate But they will produce some close racing I think

Brake bias is still adjustable with fixed setups, as is brake pressure & which tyres you can use. Basically everything on the first page of the setup menu is adjustable, everything else is fixed.
