Don´t remember if i had mentioned before the Shelby GT500.
I tried and it´s a bit faster (not too much tho) than GT350.
GT500 it´s far more competitive for the GTC-65 class.

Aintree is nice and quintessentially British. Oesterreichrin is also a very good track, with real flow. Ta gents and they might make nice additions.

Got to say I didn't go a lot on the GT500 PR. Its the dullest yank tank and still slow for me. Better options available I think.

I've just found this race which has an interesting selection of cars on a tight twisty track. It might not be the GT40 benefit it may seem if we use the current version of the track!

Please don't use the modern Charade. It's the old 1960's Charade what's not been well, i.e. the've cut out the best bits. An enduro at Charade was mentioned before...........

Pretty much settled on tracks for next season, ta. We are very fortunate that we have so many to choose from, and all free Smiley, but we have to draw the line somewhere. Place any newtracks in GTL section for future reference please.

Since the arrival of P & G its not been dull in the UKGTL offices Wink Its rather put a spanner in our works but it has so much potential that it can not be dismissed, as yet anyways. Therefore, after much discussion, we have come up with the following plan.

As more testing is required before we can use P & G for any league races, we will continue testing it but these tests will take place on Mondays. We will use these tests to try out add on tracks (a must really), any mods (?) and to assess which cars match up nicely. Without past races and a "rank" to fall back on the latter will probably take a fair amount of time but its vital we get it right of course.

A schedule for a GTL Season was finalised before the arrival of P & G and we think its sensible to proceed with this while P & G testing continues, so S7 using GTL will begin on a Thursday in a couple of weeks. However, to allow us the opportunity to change things if for any reason we decide too, this season will initially be shorter than normal, say six races. Also, with the possibility of a shorter season, the Enduro and Sprint races will fall under one championships. Its seems silly to have an Enduro champs when it may only run for three races ( I am only aware of one member, sorry Steve  :'(, that does one but not the other). We will of course let you know as soon as we know if the GTL season will be extended.

What we really want to avoid is the "splitting" of what has become a friendly, welcoming and competitive group of "historic racers". Therefore I would ask that you all prioritise the Championship races, i.e. GTL, over the testing so that we keep the fun to a maximum. I think its fair to say that its the gents you race that make it fun, the sim we use is of secondary importance  Smiley

thumbup1 Sounds good.  I'm sure few people would complain about the opportunity to race classics twice a week.  Hope the GTL season (if it is indeed the final one) does get extended, but if the consensus quickly builds towards P&G then okey-dokey.  Smiley  I may even drag my sorry ass out for GTL enduros......

Aren't compromises good!

hmm not so good for people like myself. I already race the sunday night enduros, sprints on tuesdays and historics thursdays. Disapearing on a monday night as well would be the proverbial camel and straw.  Sad

I would have thought that to give P&G a proper airing with good turnouts it needs to be held on alternate thursdays with GTL. To me that is a fairer compromise than shifting it to a monday where your likely to get only a handful of drivers and a gradual sloping off of interest due to the low turnouts.  Sad

only problem with that of course is that not everyone from GTL has/runs PnG yet (or even want too) so that would mean them only getting a race every fortnight....which is what we really want to avoid.
Monday testing is about the best compromise we can make at the moment even though we know its not ideal, hopefully though enough will be able to turn out to enable us to get the data we need before considering running a PnG series proper.

Monday is a good Ladies soap night so hopefully I should be able to make it.  Grin

There was a suggestion that some of the expert Setter Uppers share their setups with us lesser ability drivers to improve the race quality.  helpsmilie

Paul has put his TR 4 setup on the P&G test race forum.  I've only had the chance to drive a few laps and I found it good, a bit to easy to spin but I hope I can sort that out with my line/braking - I tend to overdrive causing too late braking and a spin.  Roll Eyes yes

Judging by the sell out crowd at the Brno TC65 class, i wouldnt exactly say we were low on interest or participants !! Some couldnt even get back in the server as it was at capacity. I will be mighty miffed that i cant get to race anyone in P&G because its moved to an inconvenient slot  :'(  Still, as always, its your show. Lips Sealed

Bill, im happy to share any of my P&G setups, though of course it may be that i havent got one for your chosen car  Undecided Let me know if your after a particular car, ive tried about 6 or so out at Valencia.
Disclaimer: Use at your own risk  Wink...but i tend to like them more driveable than alien. Smiley

Regarding setups, I can't figure out a way to create our own SROU set up folder. Can someone do it as the online setups are so ready slow to trawl through. Put an explanation mark in front of name and it will be top of list and easier to view.
