Enjoyed tonight, really getting to like the car and another great track from the Mod community and a nice challenge for the Evo. Personal best in qualifying by about 6 tenths so pleased with that and also got a good start in the race but the front 2 had about 0.5 secs/lap on me so couldn't keep up. I spent most of the race holding off Jeffrey and making sure he was far enough back at the end of the back straight because I noticed he was braking a lot later than me there. I think the extra kilos he was carrying helped me hold on to the final podium. Cheered me up a bit after another disaster in GT3 on Sunday. Well done to FMG and Felix who had great pace tonight.

Really enjoyed that one I seem to be getting the measure of these cars better, maybe just tracks that suit. As mentioned, had some fun hassling MJ for a few laps, he was a bit quicker, but he kept getting wobbly allowing me to catch and threaten a pass now and then. I think we even went 2 by 2 round a couple of corners. Went off a bit myself, so lost contact, and eventually caught spanner up, and passed when he took some grass off the last corner. Could see Simon was catching us up fairly quickly, so did my best to not lose time, so of course I was on the grass, missed apexes etc, got it together for the last couple of laps, and defended the hairpin at the end of the back straight more than I would have done if it was earlier in the race, and just kept the place. Good racing all round.

Just out of interest, Is the ballast working? Just wondered if it is having any effect as it doesn’t seem to be slowing you front guys down much I would have thought on a tight undulating track like this it would have really hurt, yet you still finished 20+ secs up the road. (Not that the rest of us were setting the world alight! )

It must be - I won! I had no ballast for this round thanks to a major balls up at Barcelona, Felix was noticeably slower in the mid speed stuff, at least until my tyres started to give out. I'm pretty pleased with myself for not folding in the last 15 minutes if I'm honest, he was close enough by that point to capitalise on almost any mistake. Luckily he copied me on the only real big one I made when I ran wide onto the s/f straight. That was a great race, hopefully my fight to keep the car on the road didn't look like I was intentionally over covering in the corners - I enjoyed being the one at the front for a change, although my Rift nearly fogged up at some points I was getting so hot and worked up!

Yes Mark, the ballast is working, I can tell you that! This was an intense race. I pushed as much as I could and stayed the whole race within 2 seconds and a good part of it within one second from FMG. But we had similar pace and neither of us did any big mistakes, so I was never in a position to strike an attack.

Yeah just chatted to nfsw, now I know why I was much quicker than him in the final part of the race. I thought his tyres were gone but it’s because he was carrying a lot of ballast. Glad to hear it’s working as it should

I think the ballast is working because if I was qualifying better my race pace is much closer to the front than it usually is and I don't think it's just that the cars suit me. Yesterday I would have been again fighting NFSW and maybe higher up if I hadn't made a mistake at the start. I wouldn't normally be fighting these guys.

Didn't think the softs would go off quite so much surprised at qually pace, then noticed NSFW had 100kg extra onboard ahead of me. Spent the first half of the race just trying to stay within range and watching MJ attempt to close up and then go off a number of times. First half of the race felt ok, but the wear got pretty dire. MJ came past on the lap I felt I needed to do a few consistent laps and failed as it became apparent the second half of the lap was hurting me in the slow corners. Tried to just hold on and get to the end; Simon drove around the outside of me! I'll try and remember next time to stick with mediums, but even the temps of the softs were pretty low.

Another fun race for me. Put a lap in qually and decided to go back to the race setup for the last 6 minutes to get back to the feel of that, but then Maikel jumped ahead by a few hundreths so I went back for a qually run in the last 3 minutes. Was just able to get the position back, but it decided to be very important. Start was pretty tight and was kinda attacking Flavus, but didn't really have a chance. I then had to stare at his behind for 45 minutes, hoping for a small mistake, but he held on very well and never gave me an opportunity. Maikel's late braking made me nervous quite a few times, but it all went well . No overtaking the whole race, but still a nice train of 3 cars within 1 second most of the race. The ballast should only slow down by a second at most I think, so it shouldn't balance the whole grid out.

Although not as fast as you guys in front, Larry and I had a good old scrap at the back of the field. You were much faster than me Larry, but you seemed to lose concentration whenever you got past and gave me back the position soon after.
Not a great fan of the car and the track has never really clicked with me but a very enjoyable race nevertheless.
Cheers Chris

Still an enjoyable race even though I'm not a fan of this track. Especially with ballast in this car it is horrible at the hairpin fest. Kept behind Jeffrey the entire race and since its difficult to overtake here I just settled with getting on his nerves with some late braking Less ballast for the next race is a plus though. Should be an exciting 2 races with Felix right on my tail for the championship.
