Finish second well behind Adam is becoming a bit of a habit.
Surprisingly good fun and for once my connection stayed up and iRacing didn't crash.
I've changed my three screens so that they're in the same plane and am using single rendering in game and the Catalyst bezel management to get accurate 1:1 rendering. That's made a massive improvement to my frame rates and I now have maximum detail on everything except shadows, with 50% more FPS than I had before. It's not taken much getting used to and it looks massively better and smoother.
In the early stages it looked like Adam would be about a lap minus 15 seconds behind at the end - I didn't actually realise he'd stopped at all until after the race and it was a bit of a rude awakening to see him just 3 seconds from lapping me as I started my final lap
even if I had backed off for half a dozen laps to ensure I had no fuel pickup issues on the last lap.
The Slowstice is much more fun to drive than I remember although I've never spent any time setting it up before. Brands Indy was probably the perfect venue for it with almost no straights to get bored on.
