Title: Re: UKGPL S22 - F2 Club Challenge- Brands Hatch (GP) - May 25 Post by: EvilClive on May 24, 2012, 12:51:35 PM +0100 Brands should be a great challenge for these little beauties. ;D
When I first tried this when they were released I thought that they were a little tame and underpowered, but I must confess I am beginning to enjoy the very predictable handling and progressive physics model. I guess we owe a big thank you to the Mod Team who developed this :thumbup2: Title: Re: UKGPL S22 - F2 Club Challenge- Brands Hatch (GP) - May 25 Post by: Rainier on May 24, 2012, 06:25:13 PM +0100 I hope to be there tomorrow evening !

My Fridays have mostly become free so would like to participate in more races / games. I have tried to play it but everything is way too sensitive. Thanks. First race I had a semi freeze joining the grid, got it, but the screen kept flickering so I left... Second race was fine but I had decided to take my new installation HDD, after 20 min the energy saving of windows shut my monitor off >:( The good thing is it happened in a fun race, as I had forgotten to switch it off... :wetfish: Title: Re: UKGPL S22 - F2 Club Challenge- Brands Hatch (GP) - May 25 Post by: Ronniepeterson on May 26, 2012, 08:20:58 AM +0100 Screen freeze in qualy in the first race had me worried but two fun races nonetheless with another masterclass from Clive.

Well, the 1st race was not too bad. I quallied on race fuel, as normal, so I was confident about being able to run with Ron's pole time in the race. After that I was just plain lucky to pick up the win. I dumb mistake when I ran wide and let Ron get well away, meant that I had to fight my way back up through the field ( some good dices on the way ;D ). The fact that Ron was disco'd gifted me the win. Although I thought I might just be able to catch him in the remaining laps, I am not sure that I could have made the pass if I had caught him. The least said about race 2 the better. A clean lap netted me pole position and I was able to hold that up through Druids, which is always a vulnerable place on lap 1. Gradually I eased away fom Ron who was very quick in 2nd spot until he disco'd or went off and I found myself with a comfortable lead. I was happy to stretch that out with some "safe" laps and then vanity got the better of me ::) Prib had been teasing me with a possible 1:31 sec lap all evening and I wondered if I might just be able to squeeze a little more pace and record a great PB. Well, with these F2's I find it is all about carrying the speed through the corners, because there is no huge kick of acceleration, so I started to explore the absolute limit of the tyres........ and I found that at Clearways ;D. After some grass cutting and barrier inspection I rejoined in 2nd spot some way behind Goran and just in front of Natan. I started to hunt down Goran and eased just a small gap to Natan, only to make exactly the same mistake a lap later at Clearways!! and I was back to 3rd!! masterclass??? Although I was faster than Natan and closed the gap easily he was not leaving any gaps that I could exploit safely. Even when I compromised my line and lost ground I could still close up quickly, but not find that opportunity to sneak through. So, this MASTERCLASS must be in showing others how not to throw away a good position by fannying about with lap records, when you should be concentrating on cementing the place you already have!!! Good job it was only a fun race eh???? ::) ;) Grats to Goran on showing how it should be done and to Natan for some great defensive driving in the last laps. I enjoyed some great racing last night.
