I think drivers making late changes is even better!

It's the car that starts the race that finally counts.

And any "idea" that begins with more admin work for the organiser is a non starter anyway.

No Tony, all allowing late changes is going to do is bugger up the server/netcode and make the race laggy, I've seen it happen a few times before. Not a problem if only a few do it but if plenty of drivers make a car change during praccy/qually I can foresee problems. Unless your confident the servers bullet proof? It was laggy on there late last night when me and one other driver was on it!

TBH, late changing was never a problem when this format was run in the past.

but you didn't have 20+ drivers  Wink

Seeing the pace of the rapid Italians here, we haven't got a chance anyway!  Sad ...except John!  alien Im out before the race on Thursday so hope im back in time  Sad but means no decent practise for me.

Tried the GT40 Gulf last night but could only manage 2:00 on race fuel and meds.

Ok, Like the idea of pre booking cars, if someone want to volunteer to do that cool  Cool
I can't.

I have changed the race page to say the server will be restarted just before Qual and changing
cars during Qual is not allowed. That's about al I can do.

I have never done a pit stop in P&G, so I will need to study the manual for this one. I will almost certainly be driving the standard GT40, since I want to get as much race practice in this car as possible.

Having read through a lot of the posts about this series it would seem that the Gt40 is THE car to have. Which explains why I have not practised in that one!!!

Not really bothered as I still need to get a feel of the hierarchy of the various options anyway, and racing in any of these cars is part of the ever extending learning curve.  Undecided So I should be pootling around somewhere in the rear end of the pack trying to keep out of trouble and the gravel traps.  Wink

GT40 Gulf is usually the quickest of them, though the MKII is better at long straights
I would be surprised if a GT40 was the fastest tonight, though I would have thought it to be.
This is a fast track but has a lot of twisties as well.
I have only driven a couple of cars so I am genuinely not sure which is actually the fastest

GT40 Gulf car is nice to drive, whereas the Mk2 handles like a barge! (something the GTLW boys are hoping to correct in a future patch)  Both would be immense on the straights here but think over a lap it will lose out to more nimble cars because of the twisty sections. Be interested to hear what laptimes an alien can do in one here  Smiley

I haven't had time to do any further laps nor even tested a car on full fuel nor a pitstop!  Sad  so I might stop early just so I know if my evening is wasted once again by a cocked pitstop!  Tongue  In my defence I did nothing wrong in my last two stops on here but the game did weird things forcing a DNF  :'(

I tried the GT40 Gulf for a few laps with 50 liters and it was difficult to 1.56.5.
Maybe doing more laps I can remove one seconds, but I do not think more.
Then this is a car eats tires and I think it's best to use it at other tracks  Wink
With 911 3.0 things are easier, best time in 1.53.5.
In fact, I decided to take this because it fits very well in Barcelona, definitely F1 track.

PS: has nothing to do but I wanted to tell you that; while I was looking for an address of a friend who lives in Flagstaff (Arizona) where it passes the legendary Route 66, I found a street called almost as a famous team, "Soggy Bottom Ranch road "  Shocked

See you  Grin

I would think that the RSR3.0 would struggle with its tyres over great distance. That certainly seemed to be the case at Suzuka. Not that it matters in my case. The GT40 MkI is the only one I am interested in for tonight Smiley
