Must be getting boring looking at the back of my Big Fat Yank Rear. Your start tonight was divine payback for your unreal start on Monday

and managed to let him off the hook by spinning at the critical moment.
Sorry Evil for taking that position from you near the end of the race. You fully deserved a better result. I too was chasing after phspok, but it was not meant to be tonight. I had a minor crash into the turn one barrier. Afterwards, I was too far back to apply any pressure, and then the left front tire started overheating. Good race though, I'm glad to have participated.. I can not help but wonder how the race would have been different if the ambient temperature was a little hotter! -Walter

Well I was sweating cobs as it was! I must say that I was deeply suspicious when two Kerbies turned up in the Vette and was even more dubious when Geoffers was vying for pole! Judging by Geoffers' pace throughout the race he had obviously found an interesting little niche in the grip v wear balance on the L76. Something for further investigation because I sure as hell didn't find it! Anyway, he solved the problem for me by spinning right in front of me for the second week on the trot! Good man. The good news was that I seemed to have the legs on Giuseppe but the bad news was that there was nothing I could do about Federico. I was on the harder of the two tyres on offer, and was not going to stop, and I just can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was not to have seen Federico heading for the pits! My front left was on canvas over the last few laps and Geoffers had passed Giuseppe for third spot and was closing in but thankfully, for me, he ran out of laps. Grats to Federico and well done Evil. Hang in there.

Darn it, second week running I've succeeded in spinning the car early on. Fortunately this week no one else was involved, although Matt had to take avoiding action. Sorry Matt I just dumped the clutch to spin it around as you came into view. As often happens though, it made it a fun race trying to recover the lost places. Got past the single runners at the back without too much drama but then came upon a frantic battle between Frex, EvilClive & Jarda. Thought this would take a while to get through but teamy Frex waved me through & then EvilClive & Jarda collided & made the job easy. Caught Giuseppe near the end & got a run on him when he ran a little wide off the final turn & got past at the end of the straight, we had a little coming together, but just a racing accident. Not enough laps left to catch Clive, but well pleased with 3rd in the end. Surprised that the tyres held up quite well despite the front left being red all race. I was waiting for it to go bang from half-distance! I found the softer dry compound actually lasted better than the harder all-weather ones, so went with the softs. Congrats to Federico & Clive.

First mistake was getting 4th spot on the grid and making such a mess of my start that I was swamped by the rest of the field Sorry to all those behind who had to take avoiding action. Yep I was right behind you on the grid Evil - don't know what you were doing at the start but it clearly didn't involve actually driving the car..! No option but to sit tight behind you and watch several cars go by. No problem though, i was initially not going to bother with qually anyway. Some good early laps battling away with various cars and watching a few fall off the road. Eventually came down to a very fun 3 way tussle with Evil and Jarda with much jostling for position. Great fun until Evil and Jarda came together, and with Geoffers driving away i was left in a big gap on my own. This was around half distance and i didn't fancy a lonely drive to the end, so took the decision to stop for tyres (even though they felt fine) in the hope that i would come back out amongst another group of cars. GT was next on the road behind me so i knew the team points would not be affected. Unfortunately though i simply came out into another big gap with no cars close ahead or behind, except that now i was much further down the field. What a brilliant strategy.. Never mind, was much fun while it lasted. Congrats podium.

Results and Replay PostedWas a worry Geoffers, I assumed you would sit still not leap forward No contact so no worries. I managed to get stuck between two cars with a diminishing gap at T1 Lap 1 and had contact from behind which sent me off over the grass as I tried to avoid ramming the guy in front so had to play catch up as well, but again it turned out to be a good chase, thought Evil would be beyond reach and was in a faster car, so I got an unexpected bonus when he went off, and managed to keep him behind to the end, well he kept himself behind actually

Oh yeah, I tried to keep the interior of T1 and leave space for you, but I touched the curb and lost control of the car tank Sorry Geoffer, I just wanted to give a little battle, but you were too fast for me Congratulations to all for the great race

No practise and no pace for me Used my Mosport setup but chose the white vette instead of the blue one I'd used there Had a decent start and made a few places only to put a wheel on the grass at the back of the course resulting in a huge tank slapper which must have been a bit scary for anyone around me Gained a few places back later through other's mishaps but gave them back again through my own mistakes. Was a pretty miserable performance all told. Congrats to the pody.

For this race I knew not to be very fast, but Federico more than one cat warmed up, it seemed a little devil LOL!! If Geoffer not made mistakes early in the race, was the battle between the two of them Anyway congratulations Clive, you did a great race

Congrats to Federico on a fine win! Kudos to Clive for nailing down a most worthy P2! And Geoffers! Whatever you were smokin', please, pass it around! How on Earth you managed to recover from that spin to roar back up to P3 at the finish is one of the most outstanding drives I've ever witnessed! Take a bow, mate! On joining the server, I saw so many Shelby GT350's that I quit and came back with the Corvette as my ride. In pre-race, I wasn't anywhere near as fast in the plastic bow-tie car as I was with the made-over Mustang but I thought it important enough to spread out the entry. I thought about the other 'stang entry but... Should have taken it in hindsight as I wasn't much slower in it than I was with the Shelby car and it has a wickedly cool engine note. With all the torque on tap from the 327 CID Chevy, I decided to run a steady, conservative pace on the hard rubber offering. I just knew that a pit stop for tyres would turn into a FUBAR(****ed Up Beyond All Recognition). All in all, it just turned into a steady drive through the Oz countryside with the radio blasting out Motown.

Cheers Doni. I spent a lot of time practising this one as the bigger beasts are the ones that suit me best. Not as much as Federico though! I think that this must have been Matt's best concoctions yet. Made even better by the fact that he didn't try to put an "alternative" roller skate in there with them. I was forced to do a lot of practice races with the AI, and due to the difficulty of achieving the required car selection in PnG there was always some plonker in an Alfa or Twin Cam who wanted to pass via the door pocket of the Shelby! I have just tried Ahvenisto and can also thank Matt for not putting us through the mill with any decent cars at such a tortuous goat track! PS Vicky Park on Sunday Matt. Last point scoring race of the summer season and I have to give Simon a five place stuffing if I'm going to stand a chance of the season's honours. PPS Many thanks to Erik for the setup help.

Duhh we have the boys this weekend but I'm at Harewood Hillclimb Sunday, racing myself, and watching the bike riders being scooped off the tarmac as some invariably fall off.
