I'm nursing an ear infection (been more than a fortnight now) so I'm unable to welcome the Italian contingent back.
I was gonna say its a pita but that really would be a weird ear infection...

I've heard of cauliflower ears but not pita bread ears?

Well that didn't end well Qualified 4th, lost 2 places at the start but got those back and was slowly closing on Dieter but never quickly enough to catch him. Then having come out of the last corner, just as I came over the crest in the track, the game just quit. No messages, nothing in Event Viewer, it just quit. Never done that before. Most disgruntled

I was losing so much time in the slow corners in the first sector, although my sector 2 and 3 times were good. Resigned to a lonely race, gradually losing touch with the leaders, but then Massimo had an off-track moment ahead and a decent battle ensued for the last 8 laps or so. Again, he was pulling 5 or 6 tenths on me in the first sector, but I was getting that back again by the end of the lap, so it was quite close to the finish.
Congrats Geoff for a dominant win and Massimo P2. Bad luck Pete, especially when in sight of the finish-line..

Sorry Matt I didn’t race last night. We had a late afternoon second Covid-19 jab and my muscle on jabbed arm was stiff and decided to cry off as my arm could not react quickly enough to race!

Must admit to this track not being on my favourites list either but I actually thought it suited the car quite well. The twisty section at the start of the lap didn't seem ridiculously slow & the fast turns later on were not quite as 'hang on & hope' as they can be in faster cars. Needless to say the race went well, eased out a small gap over Massimo in the early laps which increased to around 3s when he ran wide at T1. I managed to add another second or so to that gap over the next few laps before Massimo must have had a bigger moment & the gap jumped to 12s. Just a case of bringing the car home after that. Congrats to Massimo & Dieter on the podium. Bad luck to Pete within sight of the flag.
