Now I remember why we never use this layout. That stupid 'chicane' where Adelaide joins with the right hander at the top of the hill is crazy; sooner or later somebody clips the magic arrester hooks and comes to a dead stop in the middle of it
tonight it was Mike Miller and luckily I managed to avoid heavy contact.
What the heck happened at the start? I could only see about 4 cars ahead those further down the order only hove into view as my trademark rocket start shot me through the chaos ahead, where it seemed as if a fair proportion of the grid appeared to have fallen asleep and were only just stirring into life as the rest of the field came thundering past.
I've got to say I saw some pretty dodgy stuff early on - cars leaning on each other an so forth. Light contact may be inevitable and tolerated, but that doesn't mean it should be engaged in intentionally!
That way leads to madness...
Didn't take me long to realise that I can't drive the Cuda. Thought it was setup ok but I had to go and fiddle with the brake balance right before the start and yes I manged to create a monster that span ever time I breathed on the brake pedal.
I thought the 'Cuda was actually the nicest of the lot to drive, but when even Tibs abandoned it I switched; if I'd known someone else would take it I've had stuck it out.
Most of the time struggled to kept the Shelby on the track but fortunately Dave kept me company. Very gentlemanly (??-if it's something funny,I blame the spellchecker)
Heh heh, I was doing okay until about half distance and then the left side tyres were replaced with blobs of jello. After that I had to slow down a load after an off.
