Moderator's Report

After careful consideration of the multiple T1 incidents at the Monaco F1 event the moderators have decide that no one person was to blame. Several people could have driven differently and the multi car pile up could have been avoided.

We would however like to remind people that extra extra care needs to be taken with these relatively fragile F1 cars, so we ask drivers to not be so keen to push their noses up the inside
or outside of other cars, and to lift rather than desperately hang on to the position.

Did a 1:32.3 yesterday - without blinking even once..   Shocked

Potential for more, as I saw -0.6xx intermediate times more than once, but invariably tossed it away later on those laps.

Need to try more cars, but doubt I'll be able to do it any quicker (And I have an unfortunate tendency to smash the car at the beginning of the lap following a fast one..  Roll Eyes).

Cheers,
Erling

I could be quite proud of my 1:30 if it were not for the fact that I know that Ati7 is two seconds quicker!

However, this race is about lasting the distance.  Wouldn't be surprised if being on the same lap as the winner didn't put you on the podium!

I couldn't see this version of the track on GPLRank.  Where does 1:25 come from?

Only tried a couple of the smaller 1.5 litre cars thus far, to get a feeling for this version track. Best lap around 1:32, but not convinced that a 3 litre would be quicker??

maybe the extra grunt will propel it out of the corners a little quicker, but probably also impale it on the barriers at the next even quicker??

I would have said that that time was set on the '67 version of the track, as shipped with GPL.  No swimming pool and the last corner is just a hairpin back onto the start/finish straight.

EDIT:  And I wasn't in that race because it was held on my wedding anniversary.  And I'm still married.

I have an unfortunate tendency to smash the car on every lap!  Shocked  Just done an hour in the Eagle, during which I managed to do 3 timed laps with a best of 1.36. Cannot see how I can go any faster without hitting the barriers. Chances of finishing this race, zero!

Same here. It will be a challenge to finish the race. My best time 1:32 with lotus.

I can't get any temperature in the Lotus rears no matter what I do.  Whereas the Brabham gives four greens without any trouble?

We could do with four laps behind a pace car to start this one, so that the tyres are warmed up before the racing starts.

BTW That is not a serious suggestion.  We would all still crash behind the pace car.  Roll Eyes

Well I hope he is looking in his mirrors!   LOL

EDIT:  I've found the count down for joining the grid so that is one more thing out of the way.  I have been practicing my pit stops too, as I think that it will take me two of them to get to the end!  The race is going to be very confusing if some of the fast blokes have a meeting with the Armco early on.  Each pit stop takes getting on for two minutes so they will be a lap down on everyone and nobody will be obliged to get out of their way.
