Just tested 20 laps race in hards. We are all know's- track config is very cool. It will be a holyday for Felix due Portugal. But track convert is not as good as VIR. Not optimized, low fps ( -20 for me), no penaltyes for wide exits and cutting. But not to "cut-wides" here in race is not possible in these tyres. Track mesh looks like is not done well, not builded\tuned after converting. IMHO we need's a Jeffrey additional explanations how to drive this track in Q and R. Hards only is possible.. Pure masohism continues.. May be we need to change race rules , adding a mandatory pitstop to use meds ? I don't know. Maybe i am is not right at all and all other 5 pilots ( ) are fully satisfied by current tyres using things. PS. Just checked track files and find a phisics mesh file. They done it. But imho- this mesh is far away from normal track mesh..

Tough track this, though it’s a great roller coaster the MC12 feels clumsy here though, especially in the tighter corners. Nice version

To say the truth, this car is one of the worse of the original AC cars I ever tried. It behaves in a totally unnatural way, especially on the kerbs. Brakes feel very strange too. Tyre model is rubbish. It's not funny at all, but I'll join this champ until the end anyway.

Tried to complete a race with meds right now. Even this time they are useless and the car started to spin everywhere with 3 laps to go. I'll go with hards, but they're useless too. They never heat up properly and the car slides everywhere. It's not funny at all driving a car with so much bugs. Seems that Kunos developed physics and tyre model of this car meanwhile he was sitting on the toilet bowl

Seems that Kunos developed physics and tyre model of this car meanwhile he was sitting on the toilet bowl As i wrote above, and speaking ( crying ) from series begun, i wish the series rules should be corrected, to use meds normally. For example, 1 hour race , meds only and 1 mandatory pit with meds change. This will save the situations and avoid bad attitude to series. Other way- 1 race 30 min ( easyest but not so good way). Another one- 2 races 20 min with reversed grid. The summer time is not for masohism racing , but for fun Anyway i am planning to race today on stupid hards to support UKAC. PS . Unfortunatelly, Portimao mod is not high quality, (i mean bad track surfaces , cuting detections). Not suited well for this car with fixed dampers. I think we should to pass this way. Other one such tricky track will be holy Estoril, IMO. Too bumpy for this car ( in memory). Not tested. Needs to be investigated before the race day . All other calendar's tracks will be ok, IMHO

WoW guys! Evrika! I've found an esyest solution! Use tyre wear rate 50 percents in server! All good guys will use meds in race! No other rules needs to be changed! Pete, please, if you agree, just reset in server.cfg : TYRE_WEAR_RATE=50 I've just tested it in my local server and it works fine Also, we can use mandatory of meds in whole series ( server.cfg too) But... It will not fix bad car and not good track mod...

Hehe.. Just done some laps this combo in hards- med changing. I prefer to stay in hards here just because of more comfort, more stability under braking and more smooth in driving. And more fun in this bad track mesh. Offcource, the payment is lap times..

Seems a shame Kunos did a half arse job with this car as it’s a lovely car in real life. The tyre problem seems the same as the 962 so wondering what other cars it affects. Anyone reported it to Kunos? I got the meds to work at VIR but it was pretty dicey for last few laps on the tyre carcass

I don't have a problem with doing this but it's Jeff's call as it's his series.

I don't have a problem with doing this but it's Jeff's call as it's his series. This round will remail the same. People have already practiced with hards and I think the hards are actually easier to drive than the mediums, so switching to the softer compound won't do the cars any good. With the current settings, both tyres are an option, so there is some strategy involved, which IMO gives it some extra dimension. I will change it in the future if the majority of people want it changed, I just can't alter things for an individual's opinion, as there will be no end to that. If these cars prove very impopular, I can shorter the series to 6 races, followed by some fun races to bridge the holiday gap.

Unfortunately I won't be able to take part on this one which is a shame. I have been to this track and was once a flag marshal there. It's real a great race track. As for the track mod, I have to say that it's not very good. Most of the slow corners have too much banking (for lack of a better word) and the last corner seems too flat in comparison to the real one. In regards with the proposed tire wear settings changes, I agree with Jeffrey. The current situation allows different strategies that have already played a key part in some races. I'd vote for leaving it as is.
