Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: This race is started by a flagman who doesn't have a flag! Strongly suggest that Auto-countdown is enabled.

I thought that maybe I should check the pit stop at Le Mans when I checked the server/cars etc this afternoon.

I have a question.

Obviously there is a pitlane speed limit, but do we have to enter the pitlane at the very beginning ( by the flag marshall and lights ) and after tyres/fuel etc can we swing straight back onto the track? or must we trundle to the very end of the pitlane??

Enter before the flag marshal and exit after the flag marshal (but I will test this now).

EDIT: It seems Ok to re-enter the racing tarmac with limiter ON after your pit service finishes, so you do not have to go down the entire pit lane after your stop.

But if you get a S/G it's not my fault

OK Tony.  Wink

Let's keep this little shortcut just between ourselves. shifty whistling whistling whistling

EDIT

Tony, I was mulling things over about this and I think that all drivers should travel the FULL pitlane to keep everything fair.

If drivers enter the pits at the same point and use the speed limiter to reach their crew, complete the tyres/fuel change and then are allowed to move immediately back onto the racing tarmac and up to max speed, there is a huge advantage for a car that has the first spot in the pitlane? A driver that gets the final pitbox along such an extended pitlane, will spend far longer controlled by the speed limiter Huh

While on the subject of pits, have been practicing with the Massey and it has  no pit speed limiter.  If you are going to use this beast, be careful with the throttle.  I think the pit speed is about 55-58KPH, works for me.....BTW,,,,made a full 14 laps against the AI yesterday with just a couple of minor scrapes with the walls and vegatation, a first for me!!!!  Their is hope.

Love this version of the track - especially in these cars  Smiley
Not yet decided which one to take - the "small" Mazzer or the DBR2. Maserati is much faster but also much more difficult to drive.

Looking forward to this one.

Bob, my Massa 5.7 (#66) has a working limiter. You need to go to your Maserati folder and find two files, Maserati 450S_45.hdc & Maserati 450S_57.hdc. Using Notepad open these files and scroll to the heading "[Engine]".
Change this SpeedLimiter=0                      // Whether a pitlane speed limiter is available to this SpeedLimiter=1                      // Whether a pitlane speed limiter is available

Now you should have a working limiter providing you have assigned a button to turn it on/off.

I guess there might be a small advantage to be had but it's a long track so I don't imagine it will make a lot of difference. I will leave it to the individual driver's sense of fair play. I will use the entire pit lane (obviously).

So disappointed but I can't join. For some reason I now get dizzy when racing. No clue why. Issue #467 on the medical chart.
Have fun all. I'm definitely going to watch the replay from every position so behave!  Wink

Stoopid game  Huh lol

Got a SnG after my pitstop for "speeding in pit lane"  Huh Shocked Found that a little unlikely but OK next lap will take the grief, after pitstop I still had 30 sec lead so no probs.
Extremely careful for SnG speed limiter on long way before pitlane...pull in 23 sec stop. Ease away out onto tarmac and release limiter when I am completely on race track ( Ziu speeds past at this point start of lap 12)
Ok no probs fresh tyres and 5.7 litres of angry Mazzer to hunt him down. Just about to swing onto the  Mulsanne 4 secs behind Ziu … and "SnG speeding in pitlane"   HuhHuhHuh?  I'm afraid I just lost the plot at tha point and was going to ignore it, but realised that I would probably get a DQ.   Undecided
