UKGPL Season 16 Clubman's Cup | The Clubman's Cup is intended to provide a competitive championship for the drivers in the league who don't like pit stops as a means to even out the chassis. This format is particularly suited to drivers new to 1967 cars who will have their work cut out getting to grips with extra power available compared to the 1965 and 1966 chassis. The final championship positions will be determined after each driver has discarded their worst two results.

Overview:
The primary method to even out the advantages of particular chassis is to restrict the drivers leading the standings to the slower cars (defined by the world record times) as detailed below. However a driver may take a faster chassis than his division position would allow by making a mandatory pit stop to compensate. The length of the pit stop is based on the difference between the world record times for the chassis of his choice and that for the fastest chassis his divisional position would allow.
1st & 2nd places - Must take one of the three slower chassis. 3rd & 4th places - Must take one of the four slower chassis. 5th & 6th places - Cannot take one of the two faster chassis. 7th & 8th places - Cannot take the fastest chassis.
The intermediate damage model will be used. Unlimited Shift-R is allowed in the race. No Shift-Rs are allowed in practice unless authorized by the moderator. No-fault Shift-Rs will not attract a Stop & Go penalty. All other Shift-Rs must be followed by a Stop & Go or a penalty will be applied to the results after the race (see the Sporting Rules for details). A Shift-R for tyres/fuel is not allowed. |
