UKGPL Season 20 Graduates Cup
The Graduates Cup is intended to provide the ultimate challenge for the most accomplished drivers in the league using the original 1967 car set. Whilst drivers of all abilities are welcome it is expected that entrants will be reasonably adept at handling the more forgiving 65 cars before attempting to master the 1967 brutes. The final championship positions will be determined after each driver has discarded their worst two results.

Drivers will be allocated 10 tokens at the start of the season with a further 10 tokens for each race they start (including their first race). A driver who fails to start any of the first 5 races will only be eligible for an initial allocation of 5 tokens (rather than 10) but will still receive a further 10 tokens for each race they start (including their first race).

Drivers must pay the number of tokens for the chassis they use in accordance with the following table:

ChassisCost in Tokens
Lotus       20
Eagle       17
Ferrari       15
Brabham       10
Cooper        5
Honda        3
BRM      Zero

For example a driver who chooses an Eagle in round one will receive an initial allocation of 10 tokens and 10 tokens for starting the race. The Eagle costs 17 tokens so the driver will have 3 tokens left after the race. If he chooses a Cooper for the second round, then after receiving 10 tokens for starting the race and paying 5 tokens to drive the Cooper he will be left with 8 tokens. That means after receiving 10 tokens for starting round 3, he will only have 18 tokens and consequently will not be able to afford to drive a Lotus.

A driver must cross the start line at least once under race conditions to qualify as a starter (this is determined automatically by GPL not by the moderating staff). This means if a driver makes the grid he must actually cross the start line to qualify as a starter, simply making the grid is not sufficient. Similarly if a driver fails to make the grid but decides to start from the pit lane, he must cross the start line at least once under race conditions to qualify as a starter. Depending on where his pit box is in relation to the start line, this may mean he needs to complete a full lap in order to cross the start line. Drivers must start the race to be eligible for the 10 tokens "start money".

A driver must have sufficient tokens for the chassis he drives in the race. Any driver who does not have sufficient tokens will be disqualified from the result and his tokens will be set to zero.

The chassis a driver uses in qualifying are disregarded when determining his token spend.
Note: This is to cater for the instances when a driver either does not start or inadvertently joins with the wrong chassis and subsequently rejoins the server in another.

Any tokens not spent at the end of the season are ignored and are not used to determine championship positions in the event of a tie.

Moderator: Vlad Vosblod

Overview:

If there are sufficient entrants there will be two grids one for the “Works” drivers and another for the “Privateers”. The faster drivers will be assigned to the Works grid.
The Works sub-division will run on PRO Damage. This season Privateers will run on Intermediate Damage with the allowance of ONE shift-R reset. No Shift-Rs are allowed in practice unless authorized by the moderator. A Shift-R (fault or not) MUST be followed by a Stop & Go. A Shift-R for tyres/fuel is not allowed. Any driver taking more then ONE Shift-R OR failing to take a Stop & Go will be disqualified from the race result.

Race Length: 50 minutes

The 1.3 Release of the 67mod can be used.
