The Amateur Trophy is intended to provide a competitive championship using the 65 mod. This mod is for both faster drivers who do not feel ready for the full rigours of the Professional championship and novice drivers who are making their first steps in GPL. The Trophy will now NOT be split into two divisions: Light (for the more experienced drivers) and Heavy (for less confident drivers) due to low numbers.

The final championship positions will be determined after each driver has discarded their worst two results.

The division will not be handicapped.

ONE SHIFT-R allowed (with a Stop n Go of 0 seconds)
No Stop n Go within two laps = DQ
Multiple SHIFT-R = DQ
Incorrect Stop n Go = 30 seconds added
Last lap SHIFT-R gains a 15 second penalty if a Stop is not possible.

Drivers must complete 50% race distance to score
Only reported incidents moderated outside the Red Zone
Full moderation of lap one Red Zone

The 2.02 Release of the 65mod can be used.
