The Historic Trophy division is intended to provide a competitive championship for all drivers in the league using the fantastic 66 mod. Experience has shown that the significant differences in power and braking distances between the 3 litre and 2 litre cars mean that it is unusual to have exciting close racing between these 2 variants of the 1966 cars. Consequently the races will either be for 3 litre or 2 litre cars.  

There will be 5 races for 3 litre cars and 5 races for 2 litre cars. The final championship positions will be determined after each driver has discarded their worst two results. The 3 litre and 2 litre cars will be divided into three groups.

The first three races will not be handicapped and after that the top three drivers in the championship will be limited to a slower car subject to a thirty point margin over the next driver. If handicapping is in action then handicapped drivers will be notified in the race post.

Note that we are running the 60fps patch this season
