The Joe Shaw Memorial Trophy (JSMT) is an annual memorial series in honour of Joe Shaw who raced with us as Beefpie for a few seasons. Joe’s parents have kindly provided a magnificent trophy which is presented at the annual UKGPL social gathering at an Historic Racing event. Previous gatherings have been at the Goodwood Revival and the Brands Hatch Superprix. The winner of the JMST is invited to collect the trophy in person, provided they agree to return it the following year!
This is the eighth JSMT and we will be using the 1965 cars this time. The series will be run over two nights, with two races per night. Four circuits will be used. The faster drivers will be classed as "Professional" drivers, the remaining drivers will be classed as "Amateur" drivers. There will be a free choice of car for the professional drivers but they must complete a specified number of pit stops. Amateur drivers have a free choice of car but will not be required to carry out any pit stops.
