Season 22 - Intermediate Trophy

Welcome to the new Intermediate division. Drivers will be seeded into groups and can use any chassis within their grouping rather then having to stick to a single car. Intermediates will run Intermediate damage with one Shift-R only.

The races will be run as follows:

Car set: 65 F1 only
Date: Every second Tuesday from 8 November 2011
Time: no later then 9:00pm UK Time (30-60 mins practice, race starts at 9:30pm)
Race Length: Long
Damage Model:  Intermediate
Server: UKGPL_8

***NOTE***
As the Intermediates are run using a chassis allocation, please also post in this thread with your preferred chassis choice, you will then be placed in a group. Of course, that is no guarantee that you will be allocated a group that will allow that chassis. Your choice is meant as a guide for the Moderator only.

If attendences in any of the three 65 divisions drop to unviable levels the Intermediate division may merge with one of the others. The championship will continue but they will race according to the rules/tracks of the division they have joined.

Just an additional note to the above.

The overwhelming number of drivers who voted indicated they would like to see a new in-between league for the 65's and at the time we stated it would be subject to having a viable number of entrants, ie we don't want to run races with just a few drivers.
Based on the number of registrations we have had so far we believe this could now be viable and we also have the services of Cookie's server. However the number registering and those attending on a full time basis is not always equal and we need to ensure reasonable grids for each event. The solution is, as long as all three divisions are running reasonable grids, and we are thinking in terms of around 10 drivers each, we will run three separate races.

However, should the numbers in any division significantly drop over a period of 2 or 3 races, the Intermediates will join the division that needs bolstering on track. The Intermediates will still run in a separate championship table but would, of course, have to adopt the rules/tracks of the division they are merging with.
We hope you appreciate the reasons for doing this, we are effectively taking a punt in that three divisions can be supported but if it doesn't work out we have a back-up plan.
Logistically it could transpire the Intermediates becomes too big to move as one but as long as we balance things out (see note below) this shouldn't happen.

As stated above if you want to join the Intermediate Division please vote in this thread. If you have already voted in Nov's or Pro's but wish to change please vote here as well and ALSO put a note below to say you wish to transfer.
The only way this is going to work is if we start with a balanced spread of numbers between the three. Have a think where you feel best placed, we don't want to see anyone running away with the championship nor lagging miles behind. We never try to force drivers into divisions they are uncomfortable with BUT, in this case, we really do have to get a roughly even split. So we may have to be 'gently persuasive' if it looks like one of the divisions is going to be too top heavy.

Yep same races as Novices, the only real difference is there is only one reset in this division.

I see that novices still have much bigger numbers than inters, so you can transfer me here. I voted inters now.
