This track was fun to in the 'vette 72 earlier this year, and it's even more fun in the GTA IMO.

I can manage 1.43.750 lap, and I'm and curious to learn how fast the aces are flying down that 'blind' downhill righthander and the rest of this track ?

Think we have to wait until Thursday to find out that.

Just finished a fast test with the GTA around Jops... It's a really good track for this car  :punk: :punk:

At the moment I managed a 1.43.3 with race fuel. I have a 1.42.7/8 with my best sectors, but I need a bit more training to be consistent... There are a lot of dangerous trees scattered around the track, so it's a track that doesn't forgive any mistake, if you do it in the wrong place!

It should be an intersting race, and I'll do my best to join it. However I'm not sure if I'll be able to do this one yet :-\

Looking forward to this one. Seems to turn out as a funny one.
Still two problematic corners but up to now a 1.47,027 in the Alfa
without a suitable setup, which makes me happy for now.

Finally I joined the great G25 world!!!

It's since 5 years I play GTR2 with a Thrustmaster, and I have to say that with the G25, GTR2 and P&G are 2 different games  :o :o :o
I've just finished a quick test offline in Jops, and my times are getting better with the new wheel. Evenmore it helps a lot to be more consistent in race pace. Never tought it would have been so different, I'm too pleasantly surprised :) :)

Hope to be able to make my "debut" race tomorrow.

Cu :)

Great track/car combo this. Didn't have much time for pracci and just ran with my stock Alfa setup which seemed to work ok once I'd found the right gear ratio.

Had a nice opening few laps but just brushed those silly haybales and got sucked in which put me right back. Rest of the race was just hotlapping, which was a shame as the different strengths of the alfa and stang would have made for some great racing.

Congrats pody  8)

Really unlucky debut for the G25 :(.

I just checked the replay, and my impression during the race was right. After 3-4 laps, Tony had a lag (or maybe was just a server issue), and his car spun without any contact, cause I was at least 7-8 cars behind him. After his car spun I find it in the middle of the track, without any chance to avoid him, so I've lost the lead and other 13 seconds :(.

I did a good come back from 7th pos, replacing the gap lap after lap with the guys in front, but after I passed Matt, I was pushing too hard, and was sucked by the wall on the right corner before first sector. I damaged the suspention, and restarted my chase on Mark and Matt. It was succesfull, and I re-gained the third position.... til the last corner of the penultimate lap, where my car spun again :(

At the end, it was a good fun indeed. Thx everybody for racing, it was a very balanced challenge ;)

Cu soon :)

Enjoyed that last night, good honest fun racing, uncomplicated by pitstops and technical setups  :)

Was very pleased to be reasonably on the pace and finish the race 5th, considering i hadnt ever driven at Jops before, hadnt done any practise, and hadnt even turned a wheel in P&G for a month or so!  :)...plus the top 3 cars were all Mustangs  ;)

Good stuff. Lets hope Tonys new Historic British touring car series works well, should do  :thumbup1: ....though my favoured class of cars is still the 60's GT class  :ninja:

Had great fun last night.

First lap was a bit hectic with some paintswapping and something what looked like a hit-and-run .
Then I remembered I was driving the Alfa Grand Theft Auto  , so it was all part of the game.  ;D

So, started from last place and had fun chasing Bill around . Unfortunately he made a mistake and I was on my own again.
Until midrace I had Eifelblitz on close range behind so I couldn't take it easy.

When I finally had enough air between us I ran my car into a barrier and killed my engine  :(
Race Over......

There goed the hard work, but it was great fun driving around on this track.

Curious one for me.

Wasn't able to beat the 1:47 in practice and quali, although I did over 20 laps for evaluating
track and setup. In the end I choose the "red" tyres which for me were the most suitable.

Henry had a short nap during start  ;) so I began race in usual and last position  ;D
During the race I saw Tony twice flying high in the sky ??? , made some own mistakes
but could get closer to Sandor when I lost the car again and very soon afterwards my
virus scanner wanted to update >:( (my new version of avira antivir free tries to update
every one or two hours and I haven't found the way to stop that yet).
Fortunately I stayed connected and could continue racing on my own again.

Towards the end of the race I met Tony again and we had some nice issues caused by ourselves  :)

At least I was able to set a new PB at 1:46.6 in my best lap.

Thank you all for organizing another funny event, which is very much appreciated.
Looking forward ti the next races.

Special, I have Avira Antivirus free version, don't know if it's the same version you have. In this version to deactivate the updates, you have to open the main window of Avira, than push "F8" (Configuration). At this point you should see on the left the voice "update", click on it, and disable the automatic updates. That's all ;)

Another fiasco for me.  First time I've tried Time Trials, not being use to it spent too much time concentrating on Clive's car and line - result I hadn't learnt the track adequately.  Got in a good qualifying lap, new PB but still didn't know which of the sequence of right handers were the slow and fast ones.  Got bumped on lap 1 and hit barrier, car wasn't handling right so collected more damage on way to pits.  Not pit stopped with PnG for ages and forgot about the stupid refuelling I didn't need, so had to find ignition switch turn off and then turn back on to fire up engine.  Took slow corner in 5th and wrecked suspension - early shower.

I guess next time I'll have to learn track before I get into TT mode.

Sorry to cause so much grief there Bill.

I still think that you want to start with TT mode but come out of it before you become too reliant.

I enjoyed the race, even if I did make a mess of the end.

Still can't figure why the Alfas didn't clear off into the distance.

I haven't watched the replay but Tudor and Manteos took care of themselves in the early laps and for a brief minute I thought that I might stand a chance of lifting the silverware.  Then I noticed that Ade had got his act together and was closing on me.  Not by much but enough to make the last couple of laps exciting.

I made a slight error with about two and a half laps to go and lost the lead to Ade.  Then I got a good tow across the line and went up the inside into T1.  I got through but thought that I had probably used more than my fair share of the track and so stayed wide at T2 to let him through.

Then I managed to pass him later in the lap and was leading at the start of the last lap.  I made another small error, with some encouragement from Ade, that resulted in our approaching the tight right-hander at the start of the s/f straight side-by-side.  Sadly I was on the outside and made the decision to try to take him well into the braking zone and then attempt to cut back under him if he went wide.  Well he didn't, and I ended up making a pig's ear of the corner instead.

Congratulations to Ade on a good race and a great battle.

Not your problem Clive, it's all about my learning experience again.   Also lack of current use of PnG pit procedures, after being use to keeping engine running during GTL pit stops, remembering to select 1st gear and hit pit limiter button before setting off.

Thanks Manteos,

my version is 12.0.0.861

It seems that deactivation of updates is no longer possible .

But I made a  manual planning for daily updates at a time I'm for sure not racing - hope that works.

Thanks again.

BTW - today received my G 25 - wow -- complete different feeling.
