The question is, can we hit triple figures on the lap count in 70mins

Looking forward to this, should be a tough race if we're all well behaved on the 1st couple of laps 8)

these things are quick ! especially around a tight track like this, feels like a speedway with so many laps done in such little time  :P

am struggling to keep the rears cool though, carrying so much speed through the corners, its melting them. Got max wing and low ARB/camber to try and keep them cool, but am considering hards!

47.2 for me with a full tank, no idea if thats any good. :-\

Without the chicane that small hill would cause lots of crashes in LMP cars I believe. The lap also felt too short to me without the chicane.

In the real race this year they used the chicane although, the track configuration is slightly different to the one that we are using.

Just finished a quick test with Porsche and Radical, and I'm more convinced that at least here in LimeRock the RS is slightly faster than Radical. Maybe with a good setup I could do something better, but I don't find the right tweaks at the moment for the Radical.
However, these are my best laps in race fuel and med tyres:

Porsche 45.2 (with the chance of a 45.0)

Radical 45.8 (maybe a 45.4./45.5 possible)

EDIT: That chicane is really not a matter with these cars, I have to agree with spanner... Even if I dislike it a bit :)

Cu :)

Low 47s in race trim after a few trial laps offline in the Rad.

Don't know how you're doing 45s Manteos  8) Have you found a boost button on that new wheel of yours ;)

G25 does Miracles :)

However it seems impossible to join the lobby at the moment... hope they will fix it soon!

EDIT: Seems that servers in lobby are still online, cause I see people driving in it by our live timing, but it's not possible to join the lobby for all the people in TS with me. Anyone of you has the same problem? If this issue will stay, it's possible to load the server in local network mode?

I can not connect to the GTR2 lobby at all. :(

I am not sure if we can do a direct ip connect to the UKGTR server or not.

If no solution is found by 8pm UK time then we will have to put the race off for tonight. I will report back here if I find a solution or i the lobby starts working again.

I can not connect by ip address either as the game still wants to log in to the lobby to connect by ip. I forgot about that.

If any one notices the lobby come back on line then please report back here. I will do the same.

My comment for this race is... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

I hate this damned track!!!

Sorry to the white Porsche (maybe) I hit when leaving pit. I was pretty angry with myself for the missed pit (after I requested it 4-5 times during the lap without any response :-[ :-[), and forgot to check if anyone was coming at my back... really disappointed about that...

However, I'm the usual idiot, cause I could lose even ten seconds during the pit without losing the lead, but I was literally furious... At the moment I would like to throw the G25 out of the window!

P.S. This is the most bugged track ever seen! I finished my race in 8th position, but the game didn't count me a lap, so I was 5th in reality. I'm sure this bug was made only to test my nerves at the end of the race  ;D I was tempted to push esc at that point... Damn!!!!!!!!!!1

Grats to TT and podium... Shame on me :(

Cu :)

Was a bit confused and such, people close to me, then a lap away...  :P Was lucky to win, not deserving it really. :( But ok, I'll take. ;)

Managed to keep it neat and tidy tonight with only a couple of scary moments. Even the pitstop went smoothly, although I was unable to request my stop. Started to get the hang of the track/car about mid race and realised I was under geared for the straight which would have made passing anyone difficult.

Was lucky to win, not deserving it really. :( But ok, I'll take. ;)

Don't knock it TT. As Arnold Palmer once said, "It's a funny thing, the more I practice the luckier I get."

It's fine, Manteos was just driving too fast for the speed gun or was probably tail gating too close :-\ ;)
We've used it before too, don't think it's perfect, but certainly think it's of a good standerd (good enough for the likes of us!)

Apart the pit request doesn't work (at least for me and GT), and the fact that it counted me a lap less than I actually did, this track is fine :P.

Maybe the bug was due to the fact, that after my second pit, at the third corner (I was in 5th position at this point, not lapped), I went on the grass going too wide, and rejoining the track passing even behind the billboards. H@l, I guess enjoying the scene  ;D, was in 8th position, and I rejoined the track in 5th, but at the end of that lap the time didn't stop under the finish line, I "magically" become the 8th, and the game didn't count me that lap before I completed the subsequent. I checked the sum of the 2 laps in row and it was 1.45.503 (lap 71 and 72).
I think that my right position at the end of the race should be the last of non lapped driver (5th, instead of 8th, but for me it's not a real matter anyway ;D.)

The scary thing about this track, it's the amount of driver to lap almost every lap, cause it needs a lot of caution (especially with the LMP2), and a small misunderstanding is always lurking :o :o
The other thing is linked to the luck, and I met on my road a couple of crashes at the chicane, in which I was really lucky to survive passing miracolously unharmed ;D ;D... However... that's racing :)

I agree that it's a perfect track to race with P&G (maybe without a mandatory pit this time ;D). I remember that I raced here a couple of times with Elite and Abarth, and I enjoyed it a lot... it is certainly more suitable to these kind of cars ;)
Cu :)

cant say i really enjoyed that last night.  :-\  I was pushing as quick as i could in the early half of the race but could get nowhere near the front 6's laptimes. Had some good early dices with apexUSA, H@L, Legzy etc but find this track very difficult to attempt a pass unless they make a mistake, which luckily happens very frequently here!  But as the race progressed i seemed to get slower and start making my own mistakes, the worst being a clip of the kerb at that bastich chicane that put me nose first into the tyres right on the exit  :o which took me about 15 secs to extricate without collecting anyone.
With about 8 laps left the race leader made a very dodgy pitlane exit  :-X right in front of me and i hit him at high speed, causing suspension damage to my own car and i had to crab my way round with a sick handling LMP until the end, as with a 2 lap lead over the car behind, i could afford to do. No harm done as i was well down the order anyway at that point.

Finished with one of the slowest laptimes  :( With this being my first time in the LMP's,  Im missing something setup wise which you guys up front had sussed out  :-\

So...any LMP setup pointers? Do they need 3 front wing? do they run better on stiffer/softer springs or ARB's? etc

I was running max wing, front and back, arbs 200 / 55, springs 350 / 290. :)

I do find the porsche tricky to get working, i kept loosing the back going through that off camber righthander after the long left i ended up lengthing the gearing, reduce the ARB and increase the dampers. Was running 3-13 but you just need seat time to know how quick you can go in them, I seemed to be carrying more speed through the first corner than everyone else but a few times ended up braking too much and going off which ruined what could have been a better race for me.

Interesting trying to pass people round here, though it was more about trying to be careful around others, was a few dodgy moments as other got it a bit wrong in the chicane :o

Got a bit distracted on my in lap and misjudged how soon the pit entry appeared and quickly i was gaining on Rob who was going in at the time! :o  Managed to get round and go in the next lap!

Bit surprised how close the fastest laps were. Who said the Lola was slow hey ???

Yup, in this race the gap in term of best lap was really close, probably cause this track is even too short. I had a couple of laps in which I could do 45.1, but I didn't force my pace during all the race. Was just trying to manage a safe pace, avoiding to do useless hotlaps. However it was really difficult to find a lap without some traffic on my way. Don't know if someone changed the tyres at the pit, cause it could be helpful to rejoin the track with new tyres and low fuel to do better laptimes. In any case, Lola was more competitive here than in other circuits til now, or maybe TT and H@l, are just starting to understand better that car ;)

Sorry MJ for my pit exit... the least I could do was waiting you... When I saw you had swithched on/off your lights I interpreted that sign like "don't worry... go go go" :)
However I was driving with 3/12 wings, and I guess with softest springs possible.

Cu :)

Strangely uneventful race for me.

Only tried these cars out for the first time yesterday so just went for the default setup for this one with small changes to gears and steering lock.

I found qualifying very testing, making a lot of mistakes and was happy with P8 overall. Having no real pace or experience with the car I decided to just ease myself into the race and not take any risks. In the first half I was lucky that due to other peoples incidents I built up a reasonable gap to those behind which took the pressure off. In the second half I started to finally get some more feel for the car and get onto the pace.

Delighted with P3 in the end. Although a little bit lucky as I was not particularly quick or consistent.

Grats to TT and Goldtop. Glad we can now move away from this track.  ;D
