Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Weather
A weather site will be consulted on the Sunday afternoon before the race and if rain is forecast for the race location then expect a wet weather race. Rain will be set at 80% unless the forecast is for light showers in which case a 40% setting will be used.

A recent poll showed that the majority wanted no change to the series format and we are happy to oblige.

However we are going to drop the Ford Cortina GT from the series. In future Cortina drivers can take the Lotus Works or Mann versions regardless of whatever rank they are in the league table.

Will we use with or without chicanes? If undecided I vote "with"...  more chance of a varied car field :)

It's the "Classic" version (No Chicanes) as stated in the race announcement

Cars allowed: Rank 1 to 7 - Alfa Romeo GTA 1300 Junior, Ford Cortina GT, Ford Mustang BSCC.
Rank 8 to 15 and new drivers - Any of the above plus Alfa Romeo GTA 1600, Lotus Cortina (Works or Mann), Ford Mustang Trans Am.

If we choose the Cortina, do we still have to take the GT? Or was it decided in the end that everyone could use the Works/Mann regardless?

Sorry John, my bad. I thought I'd updated all the race announcements. Please look again as I have now revised it for this race too.

"Light Showers (40%)"    wow, finally we get to try a race with some rain ... cool !

I was looking forward to do 3 races in the Alfa GTA 1600, but ........ huu....... I am almost 2 secconds faster in the Mustang TA.

Unfortunately the Mustang TA brakes just as good as the Alfa in this sim, which is hardly the case IRL  ;)

Any chance you might consider changing 'Time of the day' to 12:00 Tony ?

With rain on the windshield we could use all the daytime light we can get  :P

Don't think that I would stand out long in Tony's "Light Shower"!

Speaking as one of the idiots (read as Marshals) who was stood by the track all day for the bank holiday meeting, can I say that I wish it had mearly been 'light showers'!
My overalls have only just dried out and my rucksack is still damp!  ::)

Some epic car control on display though and most race's were pre-65 too so lots of powersliding  ;D

Tempted to stick with the 'Stang if I still can, although I am a sucker for the Alfa's...

May not be as competitive though as I have a wobbly desk at the mo to race from :(

Tap on the rear from Henry at the start of lap 3 span me on to the wet grass and I simply couldn't get any traction to rejoin. Thanks for waiting Henry, hope you managed to grab some places back. Looked like it was going to be a cracking race. Oh well. Have a good'un chaps

That was great fun, at last a P&G race in the rain! Every round of the Brit TC series should be in the wet  :)

The grid looked great with all the spray etc as the cars hurtled down the track in groups of tinas, stangs and Alfas  8)

Despite not a single lap of praccy as ive been on hols, i thoroughly enjoyed that. Got up to the lofty height of 7th for a long while and was closing on Superswift ahead. But then Ade caught me late on and despite me thinking i would enjoy a good tina v tina battle with him,i promptly had two horrible laps of the race and made it dead easy for him to pass and scarper  :'(
Then it was all over for catching the guys ahead unless they span off but they didnt so finished 8th, not bad with no praccy and a wet track, as well as being thoroughly outgunned here by the Stangs and Alfas  :)

Enjoyed watching Matt and Muttram power sliding through some of the corners in the wet in their Mustangs  8)

Congrats to the Podium and all finishers  :)

I was having a pretty good race early on, exchanged taps at the last corner with a tina, not sure who. Sorry about that, the first was my fault. Got up to sixth by about lap 9 or 10, then everything froze for ten seconds and suddenly I'm dead last. A bit of a lonely run after that but at least got back to my qually position. Will be out for a few weeks as I'm starting a new job. See you all again when I can  ...

Unofficial LapChart (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/PnG/GTR2_castleclassic_2012_4_12_20_43/)

Great race despite slow pace. Had fun sliding and dodging spinning Alfa's  ;)
Fantastic turnout. Almost forgot how busy it can be on track with 16 cars.

(...) then everything froze for ten seconds and suddenly I'm dead last.
Yeah, something strange went on. Managed to keep it on the road but there was some heavy lockups. Thought it was my machine.  ???

I think that went as well as could reasonably be expected, given the Mustang dominance! Very obliging of Geoffers to leave the track in front of me, as I doubt I was going to get past any other way ;D

I'll see if I can get that 'tina setup uploaded when I get back from work.
