You can get the Zip from here on NoGrip (http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=3117) - I'm not sure what the "PPB" is though, does anyone know what or where?

Ah, found it - PBB = Pilsbierbude (http://www.pilsbierbude.de/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,26/func,fileinfo/id,2221/lang,en/). Should've guessed that.

I'll have to examine it to see if they can be packaged up into a single installer without creating compatibility or legal issues.

I was going to post my Cortina setup last time, but forgot :P Does anyone know a good place to upload it that is easy to signup for and doesn't have a million popups?

Shame, got a DC after a few laps.

Decided to start at the back, as I'm not really in this championship and didn't want to get in anyone's way.

Took it easy lap 1, and passed a couple of spinners on lap 2. Got a tag from 'eifel' (sorry I've no 'No Probs' keys mapped), which didn't lose me much time. I'd have usually braked a bit later Eifel, but I had a car ahead of me.

Then followed Tony for a lap or so, and kind of made a pass when it looked like there was room inside, as I thought the Alfa was drifting wide a bit (there was a contact, so sorry about that. I never like contact).

A few secs later, I noticed that I was alone on the track :-( , Shame 'cos I was up to P4 by that time, with not much hope of catching the cars ahead, but may have held on to 4th, depending on the pace of the early spinners coming back through the field.

Gutted really with recent DNF's, I've had 6 starts here now, 2 DC's, and 1 Accident (recieving contact resulting in an early bath in the Harbour at Monaco  :o ) My usual DNF rate is about 5%, here it's 50%...Heck

a race i shouldnt have attended  :(

Hadnt done a single lap of praccy pre event as thought i was out tonight. That got postponed but then watched my team in action on the telly upto half way through qually.
Then found it was lashing down with rain and although i know the track well, i had no wet setup for the Cortina and it was a complete dog on cold tyres all round  :(
Still ran 6th up until mid race distance but then two offs on the wet grass cost me over 45 seconds to recover and i was well out of contention for any decent finish so exited when i ran off a third time.

Love this track normally too and still liking the variable weather, just need some practise beforehand!

Well I made a right pig's ear of that!

I made a good getaway and was past Tim and John into T1 but Ade kept me wide and bottled up just long enough to spoil my run(quite rightly too) That left me trying to do a wall of death act around the outside curb, which ended in the disaster that everybody was witness to.

I set about catching the field and passed a few before I came up to Tony (I think).  I passed him but was then slow at the mountain and had to give in on the approach to the woods.

The supposed Tony made a fist of the hairpin and I thought that I had the chance to squirt it up the inside.  Sadly the car interpreted this as lets take a leak in the hedge!  So I was nose first into the bushes as everyone passed me again.  I waited until it was quiet before backing out and continuing on my merry way, stone blind last yet again!

I managed not to mess it up again and was actually having a good battle with Tim, although he probably didn't realise because I was 35 seconds astern.  But I could see him across the valley as I went down the straight.

Grats John, Ade and Tim.

These Cortinas go well in the wet ;D Great pace from Ade kept me pushing all the way to the end. Difficult track to lap (and be lapped) on - thanks for letting us through :thumbup1:

Really enjoyed that, I nearly managed some racing with John for the first lap or so before the 'Tina's ran off and left me.
After a while my lead over the rest of the pack had grown so much (And I was making no headway into the leaders) that I just started getting more and more lairy in the turns just for fun.
This obviously slowed me a bit and resulted in a spin or 2 but ment I was having a whale of a time back in my lonely 3rd spot :D

Well done to John and Ade, and to anyone who managed to finish, still don't think it was wet enough though ;)

Those Cortina's were certainly fast on the wet tarmac and it was great watching them get tail happy at the turns. Same too for the Mustang jockeys. Good race for me which I thoroughly enjoyed. Had tussles with the awesome Clive who although dropping to last after heading into the hedges at the twisty complex at the end of the lap soon piles through the field as if they weren't there. I also had some enjoyable laps with Geoff. Great stuff.
Looking forward to Thruxton now but I fear it will be owned by those Mustangs.

Awesome Clive here.

Just watched my replay to see where Matt got to and decided that perhaps my first couple of laps were not so bad after all!  ;D

Chortle.
I went a bit too sideways out of the last corner, and ended up backing off the track, waited so as not to recover
to the track in someone's way, and found myself unable to get up the grassy ramp. backed up, and things
just got worse. Got back on track eventually, but did something similar later though wasted less time.
Was fun though, trying to catch the field.

Nice and funny one - like the GTA 1300 in the rain  :)

Unfortunately I had my obligatory breakdown due to an auto update info
of one of my installed anti-malware programs (and finally I found the button
to deactivate that message in future  ;D ) during the early stage of the race,
which dropped me to the back of the field - otherwise I would have finished
better.
Some unavoidable mistakes  ::) and then during last lap I wanted to close up
to Tony using the sledgehammer when I detected him in front of me obviously
running slower than me and lost the car immediately at The Mountain so phspok
could pass again.  ???

Great track, great event. Thanks for organizing.

See you next time.
