(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.

(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Weather
A weather site will be consulted on the Sunday afternoon before the race and if rain is forecast for the race location then expect a wet weather race. Rain will be set at 80% for heavy rain, 60% for moderate rain and 40% for light rain.

Ooo, my 'home' track. I don't think there's much chance of a win in the Cortina though, not unless the weather is like it was when the BTCC was there a few weeks ago... I'll be praying for rain ;D

Hello all !

Can i take part of this championship ?  :) (Only for the races, as it's almost at half :D)

Do we agree that we're not allowed to jump on these incredible kerbs in last chicane ? I guess it's possible to be faster and pray each lap, but, lol, not so realistic...  ;D

John, i found the Cortina competitive on dry, even a bit better than the 'Stang. But that's just my feeling, probably i didn't set/drive the americain lady correctly. A hard and technical track, by the way, wide and curvish, with hard brake zones, to my mind.

why are the cortinas listed in both groups?

why are the cortinas listed in both groups?

It was discovered, early on in this series, that the Cortina GT was too underpowered to be considered a fair choice. Hence the same in both groups.

Hi Manteos. As you have not taken part in this series yet, you have a free choice of car, but only for this race.

I guess it's same thing for me, who's new, so, but really, i couldn't be happy by any result if i drive a better car than the others...
I think i'm picking the small Tina.

Wishing a nice race to all !  :)

I'll be far from your laptimes, John, with or without your setting
Thanks for your offer, though.

Q = 4
R = 1

Was unable to do my training laptime, which was 1'32''3

I never saw the start lights :D
So i holded the horses until i saw a few cars starting...

I'm so sorry John, i was guilty on that touch, was sliding way too much, and there wasn't so large place on this penultimate apex. I waited for you, and then you did for me ! Was very surprised, you hadn't to kill your position, bud, my apologies.

After a while, got my battle with Ade : i had to push hard to gain a few little tenghs, was intense, and then what i hoped happened : under pressure more and more, he did a few very small faults that gave me the window to pass him. After that, obviously the roles were reversed, and gosh, i believe we finished side by side...  8)

Congrats to all, was great !

That was the end of the second part of races in this Championship. Drivers may now think about keeping or changing their cars for the third part which commences at Oulton Park International circuit.

Very sorry Tony - simply wanted too much but had to pay for it ( 0% )  ::)

Extremely funny to slide into the chicane before finish line - as long as you find the right line  ;D.

Love the GTA1300 - think to stay with it.

will try and make the remaining races. I was enjoying the GTA round there (I enjoy that car anywhere tbh) and it was a good version of thruxton! but i kept getting 3-5 sec freezes. Other GTR2 installs work fine with all sorts of mods so not sure what is going on. :-\

I was surprised by my laptimes in quali, but the final result doesn't match my first 17-18 laps ::)

I completely missed the starting lights, and started after I realized that John was overtaking me. After a couple of laps he did a mistake, and I gained the lead of the race. I was gaining an average of a second per lap, and with more than 17 seconds on my followers, I started to do some mistakes when my friend Pippo came in TS ;D. A First mistake followed by a second one the subsequent lap, put me with a thinner advantage to manage during the last 4 laps. Than my car spun again in the second sector, this time hitting the guard rail, and destroying the left front suspention... John passed me, and even T. Muttram was able to pass me at the last chicane in the last lap, so I finished the race in 5th position. For the next I will try to be more focused on the race. Hope to be able to join more races than in advance.

I'm glad to be back to racing with you ;)
Cu soon :)

Unofficial LapChart (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/PnG/GTR2_ukgtr_09thruxton_2012_5_24_20_45/)

Connection crashed with two laps to go. Bummer..  :(

Had a full desktop lockup so I hope I didn't cause any problems..

No problem, I was planning to back off and slot in behind you, but then saw you'd got it sideways so thought I'd be able to make it through. I thought you'd spun after we touched, so I waited...didn't realise at the time that you were doing the same ;D

Bit of a frantic runup to this race, got a bit of practice earlier in the week but didn't have time for any before the start as P&G decided to stop working >:( Managed to get in with about ten minutes of quali left and did a handfull of laps, but was still a bit off pace - hence all the mistakes caused by trying too hard. Oh well, can't complain about getting third, and had some good fun Solmyr & then with FMG on the way back up :)

NP Mate. You were way quicker than me and should have beaten me to the place. The outcome of our touching at the chicane seemed a bit OTT to me. You were sent flying off the track and hit the barrier v hard. I didn't even have to change course or anything which was odd?
Stiill looking forward to our next encounter. Have a good break.

So how come the poxy roller skates were quicker than the mighty Mustangs?

Didn't think that Thruxton had enough corners for that to happen.   ???

I guess it's because it's a curved track.

I was being annihilated in the Chicane just after the start - also a few of the fast sweepers needed braking for and proper setting up in advance for in the 'Stangs, the Tina's and Alfa's seemed to be taking those near enough flat....

An additional excuse in my case is only installing the track 20 mins before practice was over....  :-[
