Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Weather
A weather site will be consulted on the Sunday afternoon before the race and if rain is forecast for the race location then expect a wet weather race. Rain will be set at 80% for heavy rain, 60% for moderate rain and 40% for light rain.

Think that the roller skates will have the upper hand at this one.   :(

Nice track with some pretty dodgy chikanes. Could be fun with some rain :-))

Despite twisty tracks and rain I think I'm still going to stick with the Mustang - It's nice to have a championship where I can stay in the same car for a season

Maybe a reduced grid tonight if our German and Italian chums stay away

Nahhh. it's only a football match  ::)
The real sport is here (or my sprints at Aintree on Saturday, and 3 Sisters Sunday...  :whistling: )

I'll be here for sure - not interested in soccer at all. I prefer basketball.  ;D

No time for practicing - know the track, but not in wet condition and I haven't had much luck
with racing at Oulton in the past. We'll see.

Very tricky to get any consistency of lap times in Tony's "light rain".

My pit crew are demanding waders!

Sorry guys - have to miss this one and I fear some more of the future races: machine crashed when booting
("Unmountable Boot Volume")  :(
Have to look for the mistake - I fear it could be the HD.

Have fun.

I was constantly being booted as a possible cheat. Gave up in the end. Have a good'un.

Results and Replay Posted

Good fun for those that made it in. Spent most of the race taking it in turns with Solmyr to fall off
and pass each other, I fell off more towards the end with rear brack lockups.
Ah well was a good race.

Hope you have found the solution to your problems Tony.  Well, the PnG related ones anyway.

I had a great race and was thankful that Tim had not done much practice before the event.  I was even more thankful that he managed not to hit me at any of the places where I thought that I needed to be slow and he didn't.

Our "standard" lap times were very close and I think that I only managed to edge away when he had an encounter with one of Oulton's curbs.  Some of them were evil.

We lost Stig and Navin just before the start and hung about for a while but they didn't appear.  We didn't know if they had problems of their own or if Tony's messing with the server gave them to understand that the race was off.  The delay at least allowed Tim to take part.

Sorry if my actions caused an even smaller grid  :(
Completely out of character and possibly due to the stress at not being able to get into the race I twice, completely by accident, hit the exit key in the server window hence killing the sim. Couldn't believe I had done it the first time, but then to do it again was unforgiveable.  :nono:

Grats to the podium. Sorry that I could not attend

I hope that I'm on my way to solve my problems.

Drive C could not be detected when booting. As it looked empty  ??? I decided - maybe a bit hasty -
to make a new install of XP  ::).
Machine running again but it'll take time to install/update all missing drivers/software and to regain my
online access.
Data seem to be secure on another partition.
But because I'm not sure whether my HD is also affected, I will make a complete backup first,
which will take some time too (250GB via USB2).

Hope  to see you again during next week.

No problem Tony, just a shame it was all to no avail.

I know the pressures of launching servers from GPL days and I never did any good in the race if I had to sort the server out so many thanks for all your efforts.

Sorry for my departure as well. I needed a restart as I always seem to get a loss in frame rate in PnG that usually can be fixed with a simple restart. When I was doing that I got an unexpected phone call from a friend that had some rather bad news and after that I frankly just wasn't up for any racing.. I truly love Oulton Park and rain is right into my wheelhouse but sometimes real life throws a curve. I'll be there for the next rain race for sure.

After a couple of no-shows, I finally made it to the Oulton race. I knew Oulton a little, but when I joined online, I had an older version of the track installed! After a quick DL and install, I soon found that the “new” track was very different in some places, especially the chicanes. So I spend most Qualification time to re-learn the track. I used the basic set-up for the Lotus Cortina, with the green tires (don’t know if rain tires would be better in “light rain”).

From the start I knew it would be a tail-out race and yes I made a few places and lost a few, due to my inability to catch every rear-end twist. With a bigger grid and some more practice I think this race would have been awesome! Now, I’m looking forward to the next in this championship.

Grats to podium and all finishers!

Rain tyres shouldn't be used in P&G. Nor Inters. Only use the tyre options that begin with a manufacturers name e.g. Dunlop, Firestone etc.

The non use tyres are hard written into GTR2 and the P&G modders could not work around it.
