Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Weather
A weather site will be consulted on the Sunday afternoon before the race and if rain is forecast for the race location then expect a wet weather race. Rain will be set at 80% for heavy rain, 60% for moderate rain and 40% for light rain.

Don't you guys feel that the AI is fast ?
After a few laps in Stang and Tina, i'm clearly slower than them...  :'(

I won't be able to do this one:-((

It's summertime, and in my case that means less virtual racing and more wine-zipping by the grill :-))

I'm not giving up on P&G, no matter how long we have to wait for V3. I've tried r-Factor vintage
league-racing, and it's not a good alternative IMO. I experienced a never ending row of mismatches, far worse than in P&G.

Hopefully I can find the time to drive the Lotus Cortina tonight. And yes, the AI is incredibly fast here: there's a certain Mr. Clark that keeps challenging me for the quickest Cortina lap time ;)

Always a Thursday Solmyr.

The rest of the series is here https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=350&theme=34

You just have to figure out which ones are the Minis.

LOL

If you get a decent grid at Crystal Palace then the front of the grid can see the back after two laps!

I seem to remember that pit spaces are in short supply also.  Or maybe that was in GPL. ???

I tried a stupid move on Alex and ended up with nothing but a damaged car which soon became undriveable so quit out. Have fun guys.

Dang i was having a good race in 6th for the first 20 laps keeping the gap to the guys in front reasonably constant and with a huge 30+ sec gap to the followers, but then that damn turn 2 right hander caught me on the wooden slats and the car rolled onto its roof really slowly  :'(  i waited for a while to see if some kind soul would right me with a nudge but nobody showed.

 :(

Dang?  You going to night school to learn Mustang language MJ?

I messed up the start because I was late to the grid, having tried to get a bit more than 50% engine life.  The lights changed to green as my car touched down and I had my work cut out not to fall too far back through the grid.

Thankfully the Mustang grunt took me past John and then I fluked a pass on Solmyr that was the making of my race!  I wasn't actually trying to pass, just not hit him!

From then on I did my best to keep Geoffers honest and many thanks to John for keeping Sol off my back.  LOL
My only chance to win was to get in front of Geoffers early and my poor start messed that up completely!

Into the last quater of the race my tyres were gone and according to XD my front left was on the rims as I finished.

Grats Geoffers.

I was happy to get back the 2nd laptime in qualif.

Then my start wasn't as bad as usually, but after that i did too carefully at the straight line braking... I saw Clive pass on my right like a rocket !

Then i pass the whole race or almost in a bad driving way, problems with my downshifting and braking style, and it became even worse when John began to pressure me and i had tires in bad health... during about 30 laps ! :) The Tina/Stang battle kept its promises : He was faster in the last part of the track (particularly the last turn), and i was faster in the straight lines... It was a fair nervous war.

Congrats to Geoffers and Clive, and thanks to all !

Ah, that explains how I managed to get to the first corner in front, I was expecting to have two Mustangs blast past me off the line.
Was really surprised how big a lead I built on the first lap, but then went to sleep a bit for a couple of laps & Clive closed the gap. Once I had got into the groove I kept the gap steady & as the Mustang tyres wore succeeded in pulling away. Ran the softest tyres on the Alfa & they lost grip from about half-distance so laptimes dropped off by about 0.5s+ per lap.

Congrats to Clive & Sol . Not a bad turnout either. :thumbup1:

Unofficial LapChart (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/PnG/GTR2_crystalpalace_2012_7_19_20_43/)

What a race! 40 minutes of non-stop action!
Hope I got out of the way fast enough for the "slightly faster cars" but had my hands full even at the back end of the grid  ;D
... and all with only a slight dent in my Cortina. Good stuff.

I tried a stupid move on Alex and ended up with nothing but a damaged car which soon became undriveable so quit out. Have fun guys.
Pity. We had a good fight for quite some laps. Tried to give you some room in the esses by running over the curb but that didn't help I guess  ???

Good turnout.

ps. Pieter, zou jij het land kunnen invullen in jouw profiel? Alvast bedankt.

@ John : Watching the replay, i saw that i didn't let you enough room at a moment near the end of the race : you had put your nose along my back, and i didn't see it. As it's sometimes difficult to hear a Tina engine when we have a V8 Ford block 1 meter from our ears, i didn't spot your position by the sound neither. Sorry for that.

@ AlexvV : For me, there was no problem at all. :)

Thanks for giving me the space.  As I said earlier, I wasn't trying to pass, just not hit you.

No problem, Sol. It was unfortunate for me that the track wasn't quite wide enough for two cars at the only place the Cortina was faster! Good fun, nevertheless  :thumbup1:
