(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Thanks for that Stig, it's the one on the Server but race notice says "Riverside (Nascar)"  not the 1970s.  Totally confused but happy to have the correct version for the race.

Off now to Real GTL.

A good track choice for these car IMO. A little ( or a lot )  powersliding in the last right-hander may not be the fastest way to the finish line, but it sure is fun  ;D.

Hopefully there will be a nice turnout for this race, 'cause there are many great places to make errors on this track without wrecking the car.

1.33.100 is my best int The NKT Mustang.

LOL

Think it'sone of those tracks where you have to do the out lap to get TT running.

not had a chance to get any laps in yet  :( will have to hope i am able to get into the practise sesh for once rather than joining during qually.

edit: just did 4 recon laps..am i right in thinking you cannot gear the NTK to make it down the back straight without being in the red for last quarter of it? I have highest final drive selected but it tops out very early  ??? Me thinks there may be a few detonating Stang engines  :-\

Think I'll take the Falcon Mann - 1.33.5 so far on soft tyres. Next is the NTK Mustang with 1.34.7 on soft tyres too.
BSCC Mustang seems undriveable to me  ??? .
All cars melt the left front tyre after few laps when driving with softs - well known problem in this series ::).
So I'll have to practice with harder tyres too - but not much time for practice tonight. Will join late.
Don't know yet how it works with harder front and soft rear tyres.

CU tonight

It is certainly reving but the little red light doesn't come on until the last wee bit of the straight and then turning into the left kink drops the revs a tad.

Seemed worse on the out lap.  Do they model change in tyre dia with pressure?

Mustang engines are thankfully not as fragile as 911s.

wash your mouth out with soap !! :2guns:  What you may have meant to say is 'P&G's 911's have fragile engines, not the real worlds 911's..those flat six babies are bullet proof! '   :hammer: ;)

re: the redlight..i was using Motec-Add and it was in the red for a long time ! though in 4 laps the engine health never dropped, so maybe it will survive, but 40mins of it?  :-\

Looks like I will make it for this one :). Quick run in Falcon Mann with hard tires 1:33.1. This place brings a mixed bag of memories. A very dangerous track that never had any safety standards. I lived in Corona,CA about 5 miles away from this track when it closed in 1989. The sad thing was it made way for a new housing development that went belly up before it was ever finished. Then in the 1990's there was a resurgence in auto racing so if it could of survived just a few years more it might of still been around(abit with some safety added). Plus only about half the track was demoed for the housing complex so it was awful to see the half dead track just laying there with the other half with partly built houses that eventually were knocked down anyways :'(. But the best memories were watching my brother drive his Crossle 32 around this pace. In hindsight totally nuts driving a Formula Ford here but we were young and dumb. At least one thing has changed for me .

Not much to say. Spun out in turn one. Decided to finish some work that I was behind in. Wish I could get to grips with these. But I tend to be a delicate driver and with these you must drive'em like you hate them!! That said, I'll be back ;) Cheers

poor round for me due to lack of practise  :(  Just could not find any extra pace in the lap and finished around 20+ secs behind the top 6. I expected to find a better line or quicker way of taking a corner as the race progressed, but just didnt.

Spent the entire race chasing Tony and AlexV in their Falcons, always catching them in the twisty sector 1 and under braking into the final banking only to have them leave me for dead on the long straights every lap  ::) The Falcon was superior to the Mustang here. Still, kept me entertained rather than a lonely race near the back.

The racing was all clean and close, though apologies for whacking Alex up the backside when he braked mid apex at the fast T1, assumedly to avoid contact with Tony?

My worst round of the series  :(

Forgettable one for me too.

At no time I was able meet my performances from my private offline practice session  :(.

Significantly I reached my best time in quali on experimenting with hard rain tyres on the front ::)
I then stayed with soft tyres instead for the race cause I was hoping for little more grip and less
understeering.

In race I immediately dropped to last place and lost more and more time to competition.
Around lap 11 or so I had a longer off in the sands but fortunately could manage to come back
on track with 2 laps back to the leaders but after that I had lost all mood and concentration.
Was rolling around the track alone way back behind the others with no chance of improvement
and eventually decided to quit instead of being a rolling barrier for the leaders.

Hoping for better times.

Congratulation to the podium and to Marco for a proper win  :)

Glad we gentlemen drivers could provide some entertainment.
It was a lovely race with WT's masterclass in defensive driving and MJ harassing me in the first sector. Lasted for twenty laps which is a record for me.
Great racin' boys!

yep, two wide into T1 didn't look like the brightest of ideas and had to brake hard. Stuff happens and fortunately I could do a neat 360 and continue.

Nice turnout.

ps. hope the back held well Clive. Hopefully it's not contagious..

It was a bit fragile and I'm paying for it today!  Just about managed to get out of bed this morning but wasn't too sure if I could walk as far as the loo.  Was thinking that opening the window might be easier.  Only for a wee I might add!

Thanks for your thoughts.  I trust that your new seat performed well.

The Rain tyres are modern wets left over in the code from GTR2, only the stuff mentioned in the tyre manuals is actually a historic ('correct') tyre for these races :)
Soft fronts shouldn't be a problem, I ran soft fronts and hard rears and as usual it was the back end that caused me problems in the closing parts of the race!

Thought that I would have an action packed race as three or four of us were very close with our qually times. As it turned out I had battle with Alex throughout two thirds of the race which were very enjoyable. By the end my front left tyre was cooked but I managed to keep up a decent turn of pace. Always enjoyed this circuit, no secret it's in my top ten  ;)
