(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Might I suggest that people joining this series at this point be allocated seven each of the offending items rather than the full quota?

"He says, facing yet another gruelling test of patience in that poxy Falcon Sprint!"

Wouldn't be so bad if Tony didn't nick my points at the end of it!  ::)

so is this patch a permanently required fix now or a temporary measure while the lobby is down? Have the original simbin GTR lobbies gone totally kaputt?

Tonight I will just try to finish a race for a change  ::)

what a great race that was  :)

Qualied about 6th i think. Race start was a bit chaotic, i only saw one green light and when that went out, half the grid sat still! I managed to veer around F Policardi and proceeded to battle Clive, Matt and a few others for first few laps. Got past Clive after some good gentlemenly racing both leaving each other plenty of room  :-*
Then chased after Muttram whilst Clive acted as my rear gunner holding off the pack  ;D  Muttram succumbed to the pressure after i closed him down from 4 sec lead to 1 and he lost control in the fast dipping brake zone. I now found myself 4th and building a good gap to the chasing horde, gradually building up a 10-12 sec lead until Hotkeys decided he wanted to give me a race. :) Stig closed the gap to about 2-3 secs but i managed to bang in consistent quick laps to keep it that way for about 20minutes and eventually he drifted back to about 6 secs. I spent almost the entire race in 4th place, albeit a country mile behind the front 3.
Then in the last 5-10minutes, i started to lose about 1-1.5 secs a lap as my tyres started to seriously go off and the Mustang became an understeery heap of metal. I could see Stig, Matt and F Policardi closing me down from a 10 down to 2.5 sec lead  :sweatdrop: I wasnt making any errors but the tyres were making the car drift out towards the kerbs and i kept having to ease off on the throttle.
Policardi must have engaged a supercharger as he just seemed to breeze past me with 2 laps remaining, then disapear off into the distance  :o I was gutted to lose my hard earned 4th after so long  :'(
Worse still, Matt was closing right up on me and i had nothing left in the tyres to defend with and was fretful of losing another place right at the end, but thankfully i just held out and brought the car home 5th.  :)
(I should have been 4th if FP didnt have such a superior car...i think the rules should be changed there personally...not a dig at FP at all as he was entitled to it, but just gauling to lose a hard earned championship fighting position to a different class car that you can do nothing about. Maybe new drivers can only take a mid spec car for first race if a championship already in progress?). No biggy, im just sulking  ;)

Pleased with 5th in such a competive field and on such a challenging track. Good fights and good racing  :fencing:
Front 3 were sheer alien pace in a league of their own  :notworthy:

Not sure what Bill's gripe is as I was certainly racing.  I think that I had a fight with just about everybody except Geoffers.

At the start we waited for ever for the full grid and then the start came as a complete surprise to everyone bar Geoffers.

I saw him go and also saw that the green light had come on so I did likewise.  That put me in 2nd spot at T1!  ;D

From there it was all down hill.

The Falcon Sprint is a heap, which makes John's performance all the more impressive.

After Mark had passed me I had everyone queuing up to have a go at me and sad to say they just about all made it past.  But not without a fight.  ::)

My suspension was readjusted for me at one point but I can't for the life of me remember who it was that I was in dispute with at the time.

Eventually I sank to 8th and was depressed beyond words when I found that Ade had John's Falcon attached to his rear bumper as he lapped me on the last lap.  John was also in a Falcon Sprint!!!!  At least I was sure that I had crossed the finish line this time.  :(

Grats to Ade, John and Geoffers.

At the start we waited for ever for the full grid and then the start came as a complete surprise to everyone bar Geoffers.

That was more by luck than judgement Clive. I was sitting on the grid waiting for everyone to decide to join & noticed I couldn't see any start lights  ::). So I messed with my position in the car & eventually got in a position where I could see them. Sat there a bit more (yawn, yawn) & suddenly noticed there were 4 red lights on, just managed to get it in gear as the lights went to green & expected to get swallowed up by the pack. Very surprised when no one else moved & thought I may have been looking at the wrong lights (don't laugh, I've looked at the pit lights before waiting for them to change!) & jumped the start.

Anyway made the most of my great start & had a 5s lead at the end of lap 1. Gap stayed pretty   constant to Ade in 2nd until half distance when I dropped a wheel off the track exiting T1 & spun.  :'(  Ade & John went past before I got back under way, now about 7-8s behind. Drove hard but could not close the gap & had to settle for 3rd.

Congrats to Ade & John

The Falcons are great cars Clive - Either my Gp5 BRSCC Stang isn't or I royally messed up the setup as my own race went the same way as yours after about 8 laps.
Worse infact as I kept making errors when the car's characteristics randomly changed and as a result you got your place back :(

It's odd as I really like the way the Gp3 Mustang drives in the British championship  ???

EDIT: PM me if ness

Tony et al my problem was not related to the race but to the lack of desire to start it.  ::) Geoffers nearly went to sleep and Mark writes “Race start was a bit chaotic, i only saw one green light and when that went out, half the grid sat still!”  ???

In real life the last thing drivers want is to sit on grid, tyres cooling off and engine overheating.  GTL gives us 30 secs to sort ourselves out before the start – ample time in my view.  PnG gives us 2 mins, most people are ready on the grid within 30 secs but for some reason some people seem to think they need to use up most of the 2 mins, last night was particularly bad.  We had 2 chats commenting on delay, think Mark J was the second.  After about a minutes wait I get wound up;  :taz: (why am I sat here wasting my time watching the seconds of my life counting down until I lose the will to race and quit?  :surrender:)  Last night I think this happened at about 20 secs to go.

I think it’s an age thing – grumpy old folks.  :wheelchair: Can anything be done to reduce the time on PnG?  I use a clutch and when we’re waiting for last person to join I have to sit clutch depressed or keep coming out of gear to rest left leg.  End of Rant.

......................why am I sat here wasting my time watching the seconds of my life counting down until I lose the will to race and quit?

LOL

Probably some poor soul desperately trying to calculate how much fuel he needed or confused because he found he hadn't been qualifying with the setup he wanted but found it was quicker and then his brain melted and ran out of his ears.   ::)

It is usually down to someone who has decided, having practiced, that he doesn't want to race but wants to watch the start.

I always have to go in and out because I want to start with 100% engine health and not with 50 or 60% only and I also recheck my setup because sometimes my chosen setup has changed to standard again ??? . But both could be done within 30 seconds max.

Hope to see you next week, Bill.

Wife is scheduled for cataract opp on this day.  She nursed me, my turn to reciprocate now so won't get much racing over next few weeks.  Hope to race 1950s cars, know first two tracks - if I'm not too knackered.

Unofficial LapChart (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/PnG/GTR2_birming_long_2012_4_19_20_43)

Unexpected busy race. In the first part caught up with the CliveTrain but missed my braking point when Stig put the pressure on.
Then had a good Falcon fight with Tony including some door-to-door stuff  ;)
Then managed to caught up with struggling FMG. Don't know how you kept the Stang on the track but when I powerslide with one wheel on the green it's usually bye-bye..
Finished 10th but had lots of fun with the compact field.

Wife is scheduled for cataract opp on this day.  She nursed me, my turn to reciprocate now so won't get much racing over next few weeks.  Hope to race 1950s cars, know first two tracks - if I'm not too knackered.
Hope you get on well and race with us again. Certainly join you with the 50'ies cars.
re clutch: I always select first when the grid is full. Tested the start offline and then the lights would count down nicely, online probably buggy.

Sry all for all the problems I caused. I think I was one of the last to enter the grid, sry Bill, I was unsure if there was a mandatory pit and asked in chat, then I had to refuel the setup I used in Q.
I didn't had any test before the race, indeed I decided at the very last moment to join cause usually I had Thursday busy, so I picked a car from 3rd group without any known of other cars performance, honest I think I never drove this kind of cars while I drove a lot the GT350 Shelby.
I think the ATCC Stang it was a bit faster on the straight, but the tires made the difference in the end when I finally get rid of the wide Clive's Falcon and passed a couple of Stang with tires problems.
I have to Apologize for the dive bomb at hairpin early race when I lost control on braking and hit Matt and Clive. Clive continued unscathed, but Matt spun. Some laps later when Matt was following I returned the position lifting on the back straight.
After that I had great battles with Clive and Matt again with great respect and giving room each other with Clive that made the Falcon very wide.  ;D
I hope to be able to join again your races cause it's always great fun and racing.
I guess next time I'll have to pick a slower car
