Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Quite like the track............................................even if it does circumnavigate the whole of Virginia!

What a long track to learn for my old and weary brain !

I did some 10 laps and got a 2.21 in the Mustang NKT . Anybody else had a try ?

I found out, why the Falcon Sprints  pull away from me on the straights ( I'm in the Mustanf NTK )

The power/ weight ratios of the cars are almost identical, ( Mustang NTK has 4,13 kg/HP and Falcon Sprint has 4,10 kg/HP )
but the  Falcon has a  better torque / weight ratio and by lower revs too- ( NTK 4,05 kg  per lb/ft  at 4500 Falcon 3,87 lb/ft at 4250)

I must say I'm impressed with the technical accuracy of this mod  :thumbup1:

Hey Tony, can i take part of this too ?

This track is very nice, but effectively hard to learn... I still don't know it well.

Sure, and as a new driver you get free choice for first race.

Yes, thanks for the remind, but as i don't like so much the idea to be favoured over the others, i'll pick one the 2 standard cars. Don't know wich, though...  ::)

I'll be around to reset the server and do results etc however my taking part is doubtful. My new PSU hasn't arrived yet but my wife has said that I can use hers so.......... if I have time to remove the bust one, install the temp, disable a graphics card and re-configure, I should be good to go. We'll see  ::)

Turned up late, minimal practise, raced until mid distance, nobody near me on track in either direction so quit due to lack of interest. Wrestling these unwealdy lumps of pig iron around a narrow track with nobody to race is no fun at all  :(

I need some wood glue!!!!!

Decent race, fell off then caught and passed Clive with the advantage of a faster car, then my chair (real world) started to collapse!! :o
so pulled over, and attempted to rebuild it, too much to do quickly so dropped out, bummer...... :-[

If we had a full grid of drivers with a normal spread of abilities then Tony's handicap formula would probably be spot on.  As shown by Fulvio's pace in the fast Mustang.  But since we don't I find myself trapped in an alien's car trying to fight off aliens plus visiting humans in faster cars.

Solmyr showed his alien credentials in qualifying and, to my great dismay, Matt came alive as well, knocking me down to 4th on the grid.  John set his usual blistering pace for pole.

I managed a real flyer of a start, probably much to the dismay of both Solmyr and Matt.   ;D

This gave SBRC a one-two into turn one and probably scupperred any chance that Solmyr had of a battle with John.  Sorry about that but racing is racing.

I fought off Solmyr for as long as possible and had a good chuckle to my self when I spotted Matt's woes in my mirror.  I can't remember the exact order of things but Fulvio and Matt each passed me and then had some "moment" of their own and dropped back behind me.  It was lucky that Fulvio had put too short a grear ratio on his beast or he would have been even quicker.  It did surprise me when I was able to slipstream and pass him on the straight!

Eventually Matt's furniture let him down  ;D and Fulvio managed enough laps without a foot on the grass to pass me.  We did get a bit tight when he decided to pass me as we went past the pits but the Sprint only had one line through that little kink after the start and whilst I was aiming to keep it close to the inside I suddenly found a Mustang alongside.

Grats to John, Solmyr and Fulvio.

Minis at Brands to "look forward to" now!  :(

Q = 2
P = 2

20 min qualif is a very short time ! (above all when i do some stupid faults, loosing some precious time...) Again, i didn't manage to do my training 2'14'5 Don't know if John managed his best neither, though.

Start was rather bad for me, and Clive did a very good one ! I was a bit disapointed by myself, particularly when i saw John loosing a bit of time in turn 1. By the way, Clive, you did the things very well and fair, it's only my fault if i wasn't able to fight with John, and as you say, it's just racing  :) Then it was very hard to be in my position because Clive had a significantly different setting, and so way of driving. I had difficulty to find a window to pass him on this tricky track. I'm sorry for my authoritarian overtaking in the turn 8 braking, it wasn't planned, but was surprised by your way of driving this part (same braking differences as in turn 2, still cause of setting differences mentioned) But all our battle was very nice, particularly the end of our fight, in the big turn 9, side by side in the braking zone  ;)

Then the gap with John was about 8 seconds. I tried to attack to make him pushing and eventually committing some faults, but i believe he did only one... And i had had the very bad idea to validate a race setting that was too tyres protecting, and not enough laptime agressive. I never could have had cought him.  :o

Congrats to John and all other drivers !

Sry Clive for the brave pass inside, I had short gear, but very good acceleration so... ;D
I picked the same car as Barber cause I had no practice at all, anyway next time I'll have a rank 2 car
Too bad the low turnout.
Ciao

No worries Fulvio and Solmyr.

They were all good passing moves.  I was very impressed with the "Solmyr Lunge" and wondered at the time it it was intentional or just an attempt not to hit me.

I go a bit cautious in race mode and I expect that I was braking early when given the chance.
