Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R;group=330;theme=5)

Special Notes: None

Ohh no not these cars again :-)

Saying that though there is a rally cross stage at brands I believe :-)

Hopefully see you there. Most Mondays are free for me.

Sorry - will have to miss this one due to a short-term and late appointment tonight with my doc.

In this case I don't regret that because I tried my very best but could not find a suitable setup for
any of the offered cars and also for other cars - a track which is absolutely undriveable for me,
although I really like to watch races at Brands (especially SBK).
No feeling and pressure for steering at all - especially in the Escort.

So - have fun guys.

I flashed my router with new firmware. We'll see how stable it's going to be tonight. I'll be in the Porsche.

I'm hitting the 1:49 mark with the 911 atm but may be able to knock 1 or 2 seconds off that with a better setup.

3 Letters sum this race up perfectly.

OMG

That was an awesome race. Sorry to Pelle for the nudge on the first lap BTW.

After about 8 or so laps Syd and I were changing places every lap or so, then with about 10 laps to go caught up with Mark then got ahead with about 4 laps to go then with 2 laps to go had a minor spin but managed to keep some momentum but not enough and Syd and Mark got passed me then on the last lap with only a few corners to go I got a much better exit and managed to get passed Mark but couldn't catch up with Syd.

That was probably my best race on a game period. I'm still buzzing from that lol.

See you for the next one.

Despite new PBs in practice and qualifying, I was miles off pace.  :-[ Then Geoffers informs us his pole early in qualifying was his first flying lap in Bemmer -"I give up"   :helpsmilie: :surrender:

Made poor start from back of grid but managed to avoid other cars spinning/waiting/off track so was in 8th at end of lap 1.  8) Then it all turned to worms as I ran wide and hit barrier at T1, lap 2.  :censored: I had many more offs, turning it either too early or too late, until after hitting barrier yet again the engine stalled and it cried enough and refused to start.  ??? ::)

I was also slower here than I expected and hence started near the back. First corner spin avoiding others left me too far behing the pack. Managed to keep Martini behind me due mainly to him having troubles rather than any speed improvement from me. Still managed to keep the Escort pointing in the right direction for most of the race with only a couple of unforced offs.

Lonely race for me yesterday. Too slow for the 2 guys in front during the early stages, the only driver I saw during the entire race was Hristo, that easily passed me in a couple of corners. I hoped in some fights before the race, but my pace was clearly an half way between the top drivers and the rest of the field. So, to be honest, my race was a bit boring. I hope to have some action for the next races, but I really need some training with GTL to replace the gap by the fastest chaps.

Cu :)

Nothing unusual for me Bill, if I know the track & the car I do a quick lap straight away & then spend the next 10 laps going slower! ::) I suppose it proves that smooth is fast & when you try harder you go slower.

Good race for me, had Navin looking for an opening the first 2-3 laps before I got settled into a rhythm & managed to pull away gradually. Was expecting Hristo to narrow the gap when he got into 2nd place but I was far enough ahead that I just had to concentrate on driving smoothly & not making any mistakes to bring it home.

Grats to Hristo & Navin & all who showed up.  :thumbup2:

I had extremely slow Internet last night and began downloading the track with 10 minutes to go before Qualifying, but it took 30 minutes for the download to complete, so I just managed to enter the server with less than a minute to go. I copied over my Zolder setup and went out on race fuel to try and learn the track a bit because I've never driven it before (I knew Brands in general, but not this version, in this car). It became obvious that it's quite tricky and the setup didn't match perfectly, but there was no time for changes.

At the start I moved up a lot of places during the first lap, with people spinning, hitting each other and going off everywhere, so I was up to 6th or 7th at the end of the lap. I made some mistakes on my own as I was trying to explore the limit and so passing those in front took quite a lot of time. Gradually I managed to increase my pace, shortening my braking zones and improving my lines, and eventually moved up to 4th and then 3rd.

Then I had a good battle with Navin, but had another off just after I passed him, so the gap to Geoffers was completely out of reach by then. We seemed to have just about equal pace anyway, so even if the gap was smaller it would have been impossible to challenge him.

Still, I'm happy with 2nd considering the circumstances! Grats to Geoffers for a well deserved win, to Navin for the good fight and to all other finishers!

Not much to say about this race that Geoffers or Hristo didn't cover. Other than fun to try and keep up with Geoffers who really did find a grove and check out slowly but surely ;). A Little surprised that Manteos did not stay with us but the lack of track time in GTL for some time explains it. After that it was a lonely race for myself as well until Hristo ran me down. A couple of short battles ended with Hristo leading the way. I must thank Tony for his setup as I was pretty lost with the Escort having only driving it once in practice many races ago. I didn't like it then but with Tony's tweaked set the car was a joy to drive :). I uploaded my tweaked version if anyone would like to give'er a run(Navin Escort). And as always Brands Hatch is a pleasure to drive 8). They simply don't make them like this anymore :-[. Grats to Geoffers for a well driven and deserved race win. Also to Hristo for a very impressive performance. See ya next time boys  ;D

Failed to stay with the top three and some laps in passed by Hristo at the hairpin, nicely done mate. :)

At one third distance the two souped up beatles appeared in the form of the Quick and the Syd.  ;D

Syd attacked.  ;D
