Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R;group=330;theme=5)

Nice one Tony - excellent timing.  The 2002TiiS is a beautiful drive after the Maserati 4.5L.  :jumpjoy:

Five to go and it's too close to call between the top four. Car choice will be critical.................

Just done 3 laps in RSR, Squash Court (Tina Evolved), and 2002ti and I get 1:34.9 in all 3 with race fuel.

Would go faster with some setup tweaking and practice, but it's more about
which one will I fall off less in....  ::)

The old circuit always seems to produce a good race and these cars should go well here.

Watch out for those sand dunes  :)

:) Great track this.....Qualified P2 but got whooped by Navin off the start. Navin then had a moment at T3 and I was back in the hunt with Geoffers and Berger. I then spun at T1, thanks for missing me guys. I then found myself chasing Syd whom was popping in and out of the game. I went to the right down the straight and the next thing I see is Syds car with sparks coming off it going sideways. If I hit you Syd i had no indication that I had my end, but very sorry if I did make contact.  :-\ :(

I then settled into catching Geoffers but then all my timing info disappeared and I figure I was around 5 seconds behind?  :-\ Pushed like hell as I thought I was catching and then had a major off on lap 17 ish  :o ...Praying that I would not exit over the fence. This dropped me at least 20 seconds and the next time I checked I was 27 sec's down..........At the end it was 22 but the race had by then lost its magic......... I had hoped for a big battle with Geoffers, Navin and Berger as well as a few others as we were all fairly close but it all went tits up unfortunately.

Congrats Geoffers P1 & Syd P3..........And everone else that made it to the end.  ;D

Yes, A sort of disaster for me. Lap one turn 3 spinout from too much rear brake trying to avoid plowing into Berger. And then just the opposite a few laps later in turn one when I ran out of talent and collected Matt when I braked too late. I was trying to throw myself off line to avoid the hit which just helped me get over the wall and DOA. I am very sorry Matt for the hit :-[. I went an entire season once without hitting anyone from behind. This year has been less than what I expect from myself :-\. I'm glad to see you were able to soldier on and get a good finish 8). I have no excuses for this race as I had some decent practice time but just had a bad day today :(. Good thing is I hear the sun will still come up tomorrow ;D. Cheers

Chuffed set new PBs in practice and qualifying - very near in race, which I think I could have beaten chasing Tony if I'd not had to fight off Navin and Syd.

Engine bogged down a bit at start but caught up at T1, managed to avoid other driver's mishaps on lap 1 but soon had to battle against Navin until I braked on line for fast Right Hander and he went down the inside.  We tried to give each other room but I had just a slight nudge but enough with me at my limit to run wide and brush the scenery - np Navin racing incident.  Soon after that Syd caught up with me and I managed to hold him off through the bits with dunes each side as I was ahead of his "leading lag" (if you know what I mean  ???) was only level with me but as we entered the blind left hander followed by the adverse camber (?) right hander, his leading lag was ahead of me obscuring my view of the second corner. OMG , what do I do, as a result missed braking point and went off hitting some sollid scenery. By the time I'd got the car back under control I was on the start finish straight and I only found the damaged suspension when the car ran wide up the bank at T1.  I got through the slower sections without mishap but lost it big time on a fast right hander and Eifleblitz pasted me whilst my car played at being a mountain goat.  A couple of corners later I quit.

Bill, that's why I pitted cos I had collided with a fence!?! and damaged my suspension. Of course this left me a lap down on everyone but I didn't want to quit as I loved the Escort/track combo. It was a blast. Was having some good scrapping with Phspok until Navin decided he wanted to play too  ;)

Hope everyone enjoyed that event as much as I did. And with car choice dwindling (for some) the next four circuits are fascinating prospects. Miss them at your peril.

Good track/car combo. ANother event where I seemed slower than I would have hoped for
Was having some good tussles with Tony until he bent his car. Navin was apparently emulating
the famous German Mr Schumacher with his bash up the back as I had Tony on the inside
Copybook replay of the incident at Singapore   ::)

Waited for TOny to unlap himself later on, and had some more chasing fun, but near the end he
went off and we just drove round to finish. I watched Mark and Syd going at it down the straight
and Syd was warping somewhat at that time, though not all the time.

Went into this race with intention of not driving too quick, keeping the car on the track & getting to the end, after DNFs in the last 4 Monday races. Seemed to work OK  ;D

Nicked 3rd from Mark at the start & then 2nd when Navin spun at Gerlach. On the 2nd lap Mark was close behind at Tarzan & saw him spin in my mirror, so that left me chasing Berger with Mark about 6s back. Continued like this for many laps with the gaps fluctuating only a bit. Kept concentrating on keeping it steady & not taking risks & actually went almost as quick as I did in qually.

About half distance I started to close the gap to Berger & the gap behind got bigger when I guess Mark had an off. Suddenly I was in the lead when Berger had a huge off at Bosuit & thats when it started getting more difficult :o. Without a target ahead the concentration started to wander & so I drove even more conservatively. Still nearly threw it away on lap 31 with an off at Pulleveld, fortunately glanced off the fence & back on the track & carried on  ::). Very relieved when the flag fell, hard track in these cars.

Congrats to Mark & Syd & all finishers.  :thumbup2:

Cwap wace for me  :(

Had a decent start and gained a couple of positions to take 3rd but was never going to keep up with Geoffers and Berger. Put a wheel on the grass and ended up climbing the dunes. With me half on/off the track and cars closing in I felt it best to hit esc.

Wow, one would think being compared to Schumacher would be a good thing :-\. Well, we are the same age and certainly are not driving as well lately. And to top it off I totally forgot about hip checking Bill  :( . So sorry Bill. You two guys can sucker punch me at any point in the future ;).
