Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/), 2.1 patch from here (http://www.gtlw.co.uk/) and enable terrain patch.
(4) P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function. You may go as fast as you like in the pits, but please exercise caution. Penalties will be handed out for causing contact in the pit lane. Use your best judgement when making your pitstop during the race.

Weather
A weather site will be consulted on the Sunday afternoon before the race and if rain is forecast for the race location then expect a wet weather race. Rain will be set at 80% for heavy rain, 60% for moderate rain and 40% for light rain.

This is running on the Pilsbierbude server as the Simbin server is currently off-line.

Set your lobby file to 91.121.102.7 and you should get in no probs and with no need to re-register etc.

Try to join BEFORE race night and if you have a problem, please post here BEFORE race night.

I wanted to try to join long before the race in order to practice, and I now have to face serious problems with my wife ! Any tips ?

You need to register first, not just try to join the lobby.

Haven't raced PnG for a while and something is wrong I can't even register.  Will try again tomorrow with new name.  If that fails will go back to practicing Real GTL for 10 Sept (back from Welsh Coach Tour)

I had simular problems Bill. What I did was very simple, I just kept  trying. I didn't change anything, I just kept doing  the same thing over and over, and by attemp #25 I succeeded.

Funny little track. Could register a 0.58.661 on race fuel with the 970 offline.

No problems connecting to the lobby after simply a new login (not registration) last week,
but could not yet try to join because track not yet installed due to other UKGTR events.

Hope all will be fine on thursday.

Hi Bill,

I had similar problems last night. Tried lost of times to logon but always got a generic error and I was on the point of giving up.

Just now I registered with a completely different name and password. Even filled in a email account and... it worked immediately!
Could see that the SRoU server was running Knockhill (??).

It looks like that the Pilsbier-server has some trouble with existing GTR2 lobby names (with the exception of our admin of course  ;) )

Hope it will work.

ps. going to drive the 970 rally style so will probably end up in the trees.. tumbleweed

Alex, the Knockhill event was started by me as I presumed it was a forthcoming event. However looking at the results I see that it has been and gone so I will close it down.

The Ingliston event doesn't always appear in the lobby (I don't know why not). I have just reset it and checked that it is in the lobby now.

Lazlow has posted in another thread that the Simbin server is now up and running.

With only two days to go before our race I'm hesitant to change again.

I would propose that we stick with the Pilsbierbude lobby for this event then change back to the Simbin lobby for the following races.

I think I'm on the wrong lobby. what do I do to get on right lobby?

IMHO if everyone can register and log in to the Pils lobby we should use that
and help those who can't to do so (as is happening) Simbin lobby will
probably go away before the Pils one does. We already lost the simbin
GTL lobby, it's only a matter of time before we lose the GTR2 one as well.

I'm just grumpy because I am doing a grand tour of England this week

Put 91.121.102.7 in your local_lobby file. Perhaps because I had done it
at some time in the past but mine just connected and let me in.

But you may need to register as a new lobby name ( I think I am up to "phspok2")
don't give it a password, and if it does the registration, you should then be able
to then just connect to the lobby. It may be that it will accept your GTL lobby
name or maybe not.

We need to know what you have done so far.

We do not currently use the Simbin GTL lobby. It's primarily for drivers who downloaded their GTL digitaly from Simbins site. We use the Altbierbude lobby for our GTL. However all of our GTR2 based events, including P&G have been on the Simbin lobby. I do not know why this is but it is.

It's sorted now thanks Tony, confused by all the reference to different lobbys, my age y'no.   :wheelchair: When change of LOCAL_IP_LOBBY File as directed didn't work   ??? I thought (not having driven PnG for a while I'd missed a change to the LOCAL_IP_BACKUP_LOBBY File but of course it was only the perennial internet log-in problem.  :hammer: Sorry for confusion I've caused, all's well that ends well.  :thumbup1: Back to learning track now I've used up half my practice time.  :rockon:

Uhhh. Ok, was not aware that the Simbin GTL lobby still existed, it went away and we
moved to the German Beer one. I had not realised that the Simbin one had every come back
I still think that it would be (mostly) better if we just used the GermanBeer lobby for everything
as long as they are happy with that. We did lose the Beer loby last year I think and missed a race
but I think it is likely to be around longer than a Simbin one, as it's run by enthusiasts rather
than a company who makes no money directly from it.

Just did some laps online - worked perfectly.
Could improve to 0.57.972 in the 970.

Being able to drive the 1275 is quit an advantage. I managed a 54.400, but then again.....
John will probably go even faster in the 970, and my tyres are glowing after just 6-7 laps.

I foresee a very dramatic race on this nice little track.

I' ve done the same race in the ROTW P&G champ this year, Mini + Ingliston is a really funny combo, but I totally dislike the 2.1 Mini physics... otherwise in the V3, it's a real funny scamp :)

However I won't be at home tonight, so no race for me... Have fun guys :)

Not really fully focused tonight guy's so decided to take an early bath. Looks like the front guys were having a cracker. Have fun.

Although I don't really like the Mini, it ws extremely funny here as long as it lasted.

Sympathise with you Tony,  :D morning practice went well broke into the o:57s, using full width of track.  8)  Last night kept running wide and couldn't get anywhere near 0:57.  ??? Hope I didn't force you off when we were contesting the final corner, I tried but failed to give you room.  :oops: I don't think we touched, hope you didn't go off taking avoiding action.  Had a short battle with SpecialKS until I confused myself interpreting PnG data - use to Xd and thought it was John W behind me.  ???  Seen him approaching fast on parallel track sections; lifted to let him by but was so shocked to see it was  SpecialKS that I missed my braking point and went straight into the Armco.  :eek: Early bath for me too.

Nothing to do with you Bill. Managed to crash all on my own.  ::)

Normally I end up last in a Mini so I tried something different.

Went for what turned out to be a rather poor Kenny Block imitation.
Ended my race with a collision with the same strawbale Eifel hit.

Engine Kaputt.

Oh well.
