Please, please, please who set the servers, don't put more than 8 cars visible with Porsche. It was impossible to race in the pack, I missed even the start cause the stutters, leave alone the grid...
Francesco sorry for the crash, but you were out of control in the hairpin and we touched, twice...
Ciao

20fps at start :(
My race ended on lap two with me apparently hitting a wall that isn't there.......

More random troubles for me this evening. Tried to alter my setup in Qually, and crashed GPL (this happened 2 days ago too), and it took half the session to get my PC back up and working. Disappointed to be 8th on grid, as I knew I could do better (been faster on full race fuel).

As Fulvio says, it was quite shaky at the start, but I made a great start through the stutters, and was soon in my usual position - nowhere near anyone. I did make the error of softening my suspension for the race, and boy did I notice it. The car was a lot more difficult to handle and it was quite a challenge to keep it together...which of course I didn't for long. Never crashed out braking for the start of the twisty bit before, but got stuck in the scenery and that was it. Lesson: Never change you setup at the last minute.

Nice track, even if it was impossibly bumpy!

Managed to grab a 4th place after an epic battle with Nicky.  Much better result than I expected given the number of Aliens on the podium ::).  The track is very very hard to pass on.  I tried for almost the whole race to get past Nicky but every time I got close I made a mistake (on one occasion on the last right hander we actually touched) and dropped back.  Unfortunately for Nicky he mas a small mistake on the last lap and I managed to sneak through.

Had a pretty solid 36fps throughout the race but the start was a bit hairy, as Fulvio has said, probably too many cars visible.  I think I may have solved my frame rate problem.  I've removed Pribluda and the FPS seems fine now.  I've never had a problem with Pribluda before so I can only assume it is some kind of incompatibility issue with my new graphics card, Nvidia drivers and Pribluda.  Anyway I'll have to get used to driving without Pribluda; I can't do without a solid 36 FPS!!!

Pretty crap race for me really. Qualified fairly well with a 27.05....a PB Ithink. Marco spent the rest of qually trying to find the extra couple of 10ths to beat it....and he managed at the death posting a 25.xx
Got bounced from behind after the start, as everyone and their auntie did the avoid-Ronnie-with-the-blown-engine dance. The aftermath looked like a war zone with cars scattered about everywhere. Got knocked or forced off another couple of times by getting involved in other people's accidents again. Then, mercifully, the torture ended with a screen freeze a few laps from the end. Not one of my most fun days....:(

Fps problems... Had drops to 25 in qually, tried turning net meters off and I got solid 36...figured I fixed it. But at race i had to endure 9 fps at start, 15 fps through first 3 laps...and I had perfect race at the same track with same car in gt's... My start was awfully bad, hope i didn't make troubles...Lost all the places i could, span several times... crashed finally at the corner with the cones before chicane, it was allways the hardest corner for me. I wasnt too much in the mood for racing anyway.

So theres a posibility that the reason for that is on server side? I was just wondering if i have to reinstall pc or something...

I've been having serious FPS problems recently too.  I tried just about everything and I've come to the conclusion there is some incompatibility issues with my combination of Nvidia drivers, V2 Rasterisers and Pribluda.  I removed Pribluda and I had solid 60 FPS for the BREASTS F2 race on Thursday and a solid 36 FPS for this race.  Hoping for a solid 36 FPS for the Privateers race tomorrow.

If you are using Pribluda I suggest you remove it and see if that helps.

If you can confirm the problem is with Pribluda, I hope we can find a solution.  I really like Pribluda, I'd like to keep using it but given a choice I'd much rather have a good FPS.

The problem for me is that the GT cars are just too GFX intensive for my old system. All other mods work perfectly.

After succeed in setting up GEM&GPL and stuff  with  new Win7 64bit on , as well upgraded , PC ( mainboard , CPU , RAM  ) , which took me away 2 days , I realised that PSC will be on … luckily I did had enough  time  to install Pacirace and to do some practise laps .
But soon noticed that I am too bloody stupid to run fast these track . well but was pretty sure the real challenge would be to stand 35laps , as the track layout  didn’t serve nice racing .

Started P12 on grid , watched several cars got lost in front during first laps and found myself on P4 then , wooow . Poor Phil stuck behind me over 34 laps . As I knew he is a very gentleman & fair driver , there wasn’t any need to get nervous . I wouldn’t have survived some other artist . Big hand Phil ! That’s why  I am very glad having done small mistake at last lap . P4 would have been extreme too much undeserved result to me .

As too server & fps stuff :
Myself I didn’t had any trouble , even at start strong 36fps .
(Pribluda and Digitial Display Modifier on , as usual )
Only bad thing I noticed that these track seems to support GT brake issue a lot , but have nothing to do with online/server stuff it seems , as I got it even offline .

Unsure , but maybe worth a try to set server to 3/132 instead 3/196 ?

Congratulations too winner and podium ones !!
Special big hand to Phil , for cool headed fair racing !!

I agree you need a very good graphics card and the V2 rasterisers to run the GTs.  It will run with the V1 rasterisers but the cars are rendered very slowly.  It can be quite amusing to be racing against a set of four wheels before the graphics catch up and render the body.

not sure how old your GFX really is , but if helpfull : I do have following PCIe cards I would give away for post cost only :
ATI 1800XTX 512MB with passive Accelero S1cooling+10x10xfan on ( blocks 2 cars slots !! )
ATI 1900XTX 512MB with watercool on , ( not sure if I still have the original cooler ,but for sure I have another Accelero S1 [without fan ]
ATI 1950XTX 512 MB with passive heatsink as well ; original cooler present .

;D do know , due to strange high shipping cost between germany and UK , its not very attractive offer , but who knows .... so if any is interested , pm me .

Hey guys, I've an old Athlon XP3200+, MoBo Gigabyte GA700N Pro 1 with 2 Mb DDR, NVIDIA GeFo 7950 GT 512 Mb AGP, rasterizers V2 and Pribluda for OpenGL and all is great. Had a little low FPS during the 1st lap but all has been good since the 2nd lap.

A thing I didn't understand...why a lapped driver didn't leave us track free during the first 10 laps causing an accident with Tristan and me at the hairpin (pratically the race result has been decided in this event because my engine was not able to perform its top speed anymore so I've been forced to push hard at every corner) and then he has disappeared (like almost all the other drivers though).

My apologies to Axel involved in one of my spinouts without any will.

yeah , even the best GPU can be `braked out ` for GPL  if driver software dont fit well , or on hardware side CPU is not strong enough .

For the cards I mentioned I always used under XP Home very old ATI display driver out of Catalyst 6.2 in combination with Adam Rays ati tray tool ( a must be for pribluda ) .

For ATI 4870/4890 under XP Home , to me best was ATI display driver out of Catalyst 8.6 +Adam Rays ati tray tool+using openGLv2

For ATI 4870 under Win7 64bit newest Catalyst and 64bit ati tray tool , using openGLv2 seems to work nice too

Yes, I am the one who left the server settings to 3/84 3/196...
I had no idea that this will cause problems, so I am sorry for it!
My fps were stable at start and through the whole race, as long as it lasted.

After a good start I was in 4th position and gained one after the other places as my opponents fell off.
Running in second place I just had to keep on track as my followers Clive and Sergio seemed to have some engine problems.
But then I did hit that stupid hayball down under and made a 180° spin recovering just behind Clive and Sergio.
Now I felt that my engine had got a damage too and so I stayed behind Sergio.
When he had a spin, he just touched my car and my front wheel was off....
So I gained the 6th place as no more drivers were left ;)

I have an ATI 4650 (1GB) but it is choked through an AGP8 port. Rest of the system is made up from a P4 2.8 with 1GB ram - really quite out dated :(

My problem at glen seem similar to yours. I had 36 at qual but something felt wrong. It dropped to 15 at start and never came above 20. I had turned off prib with patch. com but turned it on again in Gem for practice. Then off again before the race (in gem) but maybe it was messing in the background somehow. Still not sure Prib is to blame. Restarted the comp and tried offlinerace with and without prib with 19 cars. no problem. tried online (but only with one other car). No problem in qual or race. that was on pacific with 66.

Exactly the same symptoms as me.

Since uninstalling Prib (not just switching it off) and the digital display modifier.  I've had rock solid frame rates at 36 and 60 FPS.  Can't say for certain if Prib is the problem and for sure not everyone is having issues but until I get the 20 FPS problem again (suggesting Prib is NOT the problem), Prib is staying off my PC.

Phil , Kinghiro ,
did you set detail slider to 75% ?

what kind of rasterizer ?

and what resolution ( native or below ) ?

AA settings max ?

asking because I really cant imagine that prib or DDM would create such huge fps drops .

e.c. on my system GTmod is most fps hungry , especialy if only one type of car is on ( like in PSC ) .
Thats why I change over to openGLv2.
As I am using ATI card  , I did all my videocard settings via Adam Ray tray tool , comes with special openGL options over Catalyst Control Center ( CCC ) .
Definately on my system AA settings and details slider do have most makor effect on fps .
