Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk FIFT
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=358&theme=5)
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Avoid going off at Knickerbrook. There is a hole in the surface that you may fall into. Also avoid the RH side of the track by the first tree on the RH side after the pit lane exit. There is an invisible obstacle there.

Err no, but the lazy, good for nothing admin had forgotten to check the dates on future events in this series. The correct date is shown right at the very top of this thread but I hadn't looked at the body of the announcement. Job for tomorrow then.

Sorry for any disappointment caused. But it is definitely Silverstone next Tuesday, honest.

Does anyone have an alternative link for the cars?

I have exceeded my daily limit and still need the Merc and Masarati.

Thanks.

For some reason I have it on there even though I have not downloaded it. Unless it's with another car on there. But I'm sorry but without a lot of practice I wont be there as I can barely get round 1 lap in any of the cars. Give me a few weeks and we will see :-)

Sorry

I have to admit they do have the tendency to veer off track on the back straight for no apparent reason :).

:) Crap start...Totally out classed by Nav.  ::)

A shed load of cock ups followed and then on lap 10 discovered my engine was on 14%  :o :o :o so forced to short shift.
Nav went into the twilight zone soon to be followed by Tony (sorry Anthony)!!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D Managed to hold on to P1 more by luck than driving skill still short shifting.......Finished the race in P1 with engine on 3%.  :-\  Did one victory donut and the engine went POP.......The End.  :D

Well, connection survived and my car survived. Even after hitting a house head on midway through the last lap. Very tricky track, with lots of bumps and very hard to control cars over those bumps. Grats to Mark and Manteos for surviving.

Sorry guy's , maybe that track was a bit too ambitious.

Still, the next ones flat as a pancake.

Thanks Tony for organising race, the track was certainly a bit too ambitious for me but hey everone is entitled to make mistakes (don't know how you find the time but thanks for all your time and effort).  :notworthy: Due to lack of time to learn car/track combo, I used my last race with car settings (that fast early Monza race) as result only used first 4 gears.  Disappointed I did not finish, my own fault as when I’m driving to finish I always try to improve on lap times.  As result had a couple of spins by braking too late so next flying lap I braked earlier but due to lack of concentration put 2 wheels onto grass and finished up in the lake.

Thanks Bill Thomas. Although I had a rubbish qually my race pace off the line was way better. On lap three I was catching Syd and went for a pass/bluff move but went off wide on the grass on the right before Clay Hill and struck the worlds toughest straw bale which damaged the body, suspension and ripped a wheel off. Wasn't prepared to quit this early so limped back to the pits for a complete makeover. Twp hours later I was back on track and doing some consistent laps with the odd dodgy moment just to keep me alert. After Navin went out I miss-judged my entry speed into a corner (at Knickerbrook I think) and went over a straw bale barrier and straight into never never land.

Thanks for turning out guys. BTW I'm thinking of dropping the faster Maserati as Pelle likes it and it's too fast for the other cars.

There is a Aston Martin DBR2 WIP to compete with the Maserati... (see pic gallery at NG)  8)

I compromized the race at the first lap, with a puncture on the left front. After the pit I started to understand the car, and my laptimes were improving a lot. Navin lapped me, but I was keeping his pace, and replaced the gap by him.
I tried to unlap myself, but it wasn't necessary to enagage a battle with Navin, cause his car spun right in front of me. By that moment I pushed a lot, and I was gaining seconds every lap on Syd and Mark. Until the tyres had some grip, the car was fun to drive, but in the last 6-7 laps was really difficult to keep it on the tarmac. Every hill was a trick, and my car spun other 4 or 5 times before the end of the race. However driving this beast was funny enough even alone on the track, and I enjoyed the race til the checkered flag.
Grats to Mark for the victory and Syd for 2nd place :)

Cu :)
