250 mins of GTR2 in only one day are a bit too much for my eyes... I guess I will jump this one probably. If my eyesight will resist I will join the race with pleasure ??? Who knows ::)

See you :)

I am considering delaying this race and doing a fun race instead as many drivers will be tired and low on practise from the GTWeb race.

Perhaps a 40 min fan race at Barcelona instead? GTC maybe.

This race is now rescheduled to 17th June.

Sorry for any inconvenience and the late change. I should have thought to do a fun race this weekend in the first place. ::)

I do not seem to be able to make a normal event link for the Barcelona race:

Probably because I am trying to do it on the same day as the race. ::)

I shall try to keep you company around about there QS.  Can do a 1:40 as a TT lap but not yet converted it to a straight practice effort.

Just finished a small practice session. Race trim will probably be near the mid 37 low 38... In qualif setup, maybe a high 35 is possible...

However I bet that I will receive at least 4 or 5 stop & go even this time. Is even more difficult to avoid the cut at the "Variante della Roggia" or at the exit of the "Ascari" than it was with the GT :(. Track limits are very strict in your version, and is difficult to lose these kind of routines cause I always used to race in the GTR2 original version of Monza. This one has something different. I'll try to be more cautious ::) ::)

See you :)

I haven't got a clue what I'm doing and could do with some decent gear ratios for the Porsche if anyone can help.

My setup is really rough at the moment Clive, but at least the gear ratio should be ok. Try with the brakes duct setted on 3, cause I've seen that sometimes the temperatures go a bit too high. Maybe you can soften a bit the suspention and rear springs aswell  ???

Thanks for the entertainment.

I was having a close race with SRW up until the pit stop.

Then two things went wrong.  Firstly I attempted to restart the engine with my foot placed firmly on the brake instead of the clutch and secondly I elected not to change my rear tyres.  Both of these are witness to my inexperience with GTR2 and we won't talk about the missing speed limiter!

I emerged from the pits alongside APEXTECHUSA, who disappeared up the road at a rate of knots.  Even after the tyres had gained some temperature it was obvious that I would have been better off to have changed the rears but had I not spent ages faffing with the brake, clutch, ignition and starter combo who knows?

Grats to the podium and WD to SRW.

Well, I never used the manual clutch and I simply set the Ignition on "I" and Starter on "S" key. ;) You had a good pace Clive, considering. :)
Was never really good at Monza, can't get the hang of those chicanes. Would like to try out the old Monza once. :)

Race was ok up to the 30 min mark, then Apex pitted. Was wondering on my tactics but then decided to go on half and change tyres. No fancy business paid off, it seems. Though I'd rather Apex would stay close. Race was rather boring from then on, Manteos too quick and the rest too far for a threat even if they were a bit faster. Oh, the end was exciting as I run  outta fuel. ::) Math was never my strong side and some help from Manteos made me reach the finish line. Many thanks. ;)

Almost perfect race for me yesterday.

Started 6th, but 5th in fact cause Clive kindly let me pass. I passed srw, Apex and TT, and I started my chase to H@l. In 5-6 laps I closed the gap on him, and H@l made a mistake at the Veriante della Roggia, so I passed him and ran away. By that moment, I had only to manage the advantage on my followers, til the half race. I pitted, refueling and changing the tyres. I came back on the track just in front of Clive and Srw probably, and by that moment I started to push a bit more faster than the first stint. My pace was really good, and I put a series of really fast laps in row, mainly on the low 37 pace. I made only one mistake during all the 2nd stint, and that lap was the only over the 1.39. So I'm pretty happy for the result, and for my pace.
Funny final with TT, that ran out of fuel at the last lap at the Ascari, so I pushed him 'til the checkered flag :)

Now we're going to Portimao, that is one of my favourite track, so I hope to do another good race and a good resut. The champ is yet to be decided, and the gap is really small.

Thanks for racing guys. See you for the next :)

exciting race throughout, normally things get spread out and i end up hotlapping (usually at the rear of the field!)
didnt get much testing in so decided to go with soft rears, started off ok, holding a gap over Clive, but approaching mid race and the rears where completely worn out and clive breezed past me, i decided to stay out for another 3 or 4 laps so that my next set of tyres would not be completely shot at the end of the race, ended up skidding off a couple of times, but once on the new set i was able to reel Clive back in (despite getting on the gas too early out of the first chicane and swapping ends!) (and the screen freezeing up and going back to desk top while following Clive and Manteos approaching a breaking area). looking forward to portimao and silverstone, two of my favourite tracks

i had a good race pace,     but tt's aero package was enough to keep me @ bay.     then i got me a stop n go.      so i went into the pits that lap to serve my time and i was in last place.      3 laps later i decided for the normal stop and still came out in last,      so i had to maintain some decent laps while the pits shift back for the final stint.    i was quite was surprised to gain any places,     but i did thats when i saw clive and remembered what he did to me before.     so i put my head down and made the gap a little bigger.     i was pleased with my perfomance except my stop n go see u all next week
