UKGTR SEASON 16 UPPER ENDURANCE CHAMPIONHSIP  - ROUND 5

Race:          20:40 BST (70 mins)- note: no warm up!

Track: Portimão (Autodromo Internacional Algarve, v1.1.0.0) (download from here (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3356.msg54900#post_portimao)).
Race Start Time: 14:00

Weather: Dry

Tyre wear: normal.
Fuel consumption: normal.
Pit Stops: You must make a minimum of one pit stop during which you must take on at least 1 litre of fuel and/or change at least two tyres. You cannot take a mandatory stop at the end of the pace lap, or with less than 1 lap to go.

Notes:
(1) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3349.0) - especially the speed limiter starting procedure and the rules about in-game chat messages.
(2) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R;group=357;theme=3)
(3) You will not be able to join the server without the car physics pack and track (see links above).
(4) Drivers may only change car once in the season without penalty.
(5) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced.
(6) Please use the Driver Details (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=profile;sa=driver_info) page to ensure that the league management software has your correct GTR2 'Driving Name' (not necessarily the same as your lobby name).
(7) The server will be set to 26 slots, not 28.

Probably not of any interest but there is a v1.2 of this track that we have used in PnG.

Other arrangements. Either BBC1 or ITV usually about 7:15pm. Football is on :-)

if we are going to have a fun race next week while people kick a ball around a field we could do a short track like brands indy or snetterton in a GT2?

This event will be rescheduled to 29th July due to football.

I will organise another fun race for July 1st instead. :)

There has been a few changes to the SuperGt500 mod that I need to take a look at before we use it again otherwise I would have used it already. :)

hey guys just to let you know I am home for this race now :-)

I can manage around 1:37-1:38's just about.

Maybe if I got a 100% clean lap then maybe down to 1:36 but no less than that I don't thinks.

lost connection after about 5 laps :(
gutted as this is a really awesome track, especially in the lmp2's

I gotta admit I was enjoying this race, however with less than 10 laps to go I just started to sping almost every corner so kinda gave up.

Good race for me despite the lack of action. :)

Thanks for organising season 16, the time spent sorting things out is appreciated.

Have you decided what mod we will be using for season 17? The GT2/LMP2 on the same tracks seems to work well.

During the summer my week-end are usually busy, so I jump more races than usual.
It's a pity that I couldn't join the last 2 races. For some issues, I've never been able to do all the races in the UKGTR prototypes champ, so I'm happy with my 3rd place overall :)

I imagine with the season ending, H@L might want a rest, and a chance to work out what to do next.

Seems like summer holiday cost me 3rd place in the championship...  ::)

i tried getting in on sunday night and last night and it didnt work
