Hello. I though I would post this on here as I have had major problems getting my game online.

1 ) Install the game (Steam Digital Download version)
2 ) visit and register http://www.altbierbude.de/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,registers/lang,en/ (http://www.altbierbude.de/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,registers/lang,en/)
3 ) Once registered and confirmed account, visit and download this http://www.altbierbude.de/component/option,com_remository/func,fileinfo/id,650/lang,en/ (http://www.altbierbude.de/component/option,com_remository/func,fileinfo/id,650/lang,en/)
4 ) Install the program.
5 ) Run the Program.
6 ) Log in using the same information you used to register.
7 ) but don't install the addons unless you want to. (big download)
8 ) Click Options.
9 ) click on the lobby tab on the left.
10) Under where it says "Hosts - www.gtl-server.net" type in 37.59.215.248
11) Under LOCAL_IP_LOBBY.TXT type 37.59.215.248
12) Under LOCAL_IP_BACKUP_LOBBY.TXT type gtlsrv.race-game.com
13) Click OK.
14) Run GTL as Administrator (Right click GTL.exe, click properties then the compatibility tab, check the boxes for "Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP  (Service Pack 3) then check the box for Run this program as an administrator) then click ok.

15) Goto Multiplayer then Internet.
16) Click register
17) Enter the same information as was used when you registered on the Altbeirbude website.
18) Once registered in the game log in and you should see the servers.


If you see the Altbeirbude servers listed then you are in the correct lobby.


This is how I got mine working. If anyone has a faster or less confusing way then please post it.

What I done wrong on Monday was I missed out steps 8-13.

If the above is what everyone's doing to their LOBBY.TXT files I could update the hosts hack (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3358.msg54517#post_hostshack) to do those files the same way I do the other installers.

I think that the above is only applicable when converting the Simbin Digital download of GTL.

Yes sorry I should have stated that this was for the digital version from simbin
