Not seen this version of Adelaide before.

Racing could be quite intense!!

I take it that everyone else has big black patches on the track surface?

We used this once in one of Legzy's GTR2 races and it worked quite well with the slower GT cars
The track has black patches, was never sure if they were meant to be repaired tarmac
or a graphics glitch...

The normal Adelaide street track will be one of the forthcoming tracks, this is Adelaide International Raceway
it's an oval with an infield section.

I've gone for the IR 2005 on the basis that it isn't short and isn't an oval.

Can't check online because the server is doing something else.

It's the one I have created a download link for, and Tony has kindly put up on the server (thanks for that)
My original description that I had was Adelaide IR 2005 Long, but the one that is up looks correct to me.

With the right car even I can beat the 1:00  ;D .
Practiced tonight with the 1963 Corvette GrandSport Roadster (Penske Sunoco) for GTL by ATalber
- available at http://evolution-modding.usersboard.net/ (http://evolution-modding.usersboard.net/) - which I tried to convert to
GTR2 P&G for my private use some time ago (curious to seewhat P&G V.3 will give us) and was able
to reach 0:54.9

Only 1:04.9 with the 275GTB  ::)

I sure hope I can make it tonight, it's been a  while since I raced :-((. Did a few laps in both cars yesterday,  and I am definately going to use the Jag.

Yes, of course, i just wasn't sure of the right one as there no longer is a "Long" one. Ok for "IR 2005", so...

Still didn't practice, by the way !  :-\

Well I am about 1/2 sec faster in the 275, though most people have in the past been faster in the lightweight jag
so this time it's 4 speed lightweight only, and the "normal" coupe and roadster of course.

Oh, and I was reminded of a funny at this track
turn left out of your pit stall even though the guy says right, get out quickly and watch
one of your pit crew run like a maniac carrying a tyre up the track and through the pit wall

Results and Replay Posted

Good race got mugged at the start, and then chased Clive for a few before falling off
and then having the rest of the race chasing then passing MJ when he fell off, then
trying to catch Clive before the end, but ran out of laps. Great race anyways
you should have come along chaps who missed it, was good stuff  8)

good race track that, simple layout yet quite challenging and easy to fall off if you get it wrong.

Qualied 4th, finished 4th  :)  Had a race long battle with Matt, with us both swapping places a few times due to a couple of slight errors that cost 3-4 secs, but it kept up the interest level until the end, always having another car 2-4 secs in front or behind.

Congrats to the Jag boys in 1st and 2nd  8)

I saw him when I joined the grid.  Wondered what the hell was going on.

This was a satisfying one although I ended up in last place again  :(.
Had a suitable setup and could realize new pb's in pracitce/quali
and race for one more time.
In the beginning I was able to build up a gap to Tony and Stig and
was hoping to finish in 5th position.
But my fault was that I chose soft tyres and had to realize that my tyre's condition
worsened during second half of the race and I had two turners so I lost a lot of
ground to enable Tony and Stig to close up again.
I could see Tony in the back mirror fighting like a lion  ;D trying to get closer and
closer in order to pass but I think he crashed and had to leave  :(
In the final laps Stig passed me due to another of my mistakes and I was not
able to run past him again. During the last lap I left the track again and Stig
went away for good  :(.
Nice battles, nice little but challenging track.
Thanks for organizing and grats to the podium.

It was a nice race in the first 3 laps for me.

By the way, one more time, i was unable to see the start lights ! >:(

So, as usual, did a very bad start. 3rd in the 1st corner. Then the guys ahead both made a mistake and i was 1st, without really fighting, a shame as we were gonna have some good ones... ;)
Then i created a security gap until the end.

Thanks all and congrats for racing !

Sorry about that, I knew that my only chance was a good start and then get in your way but I messed up the slow left-hander.  It was a problem to me all race and trying not to spin there was the main reason that you were able to leave me behind.

Well done anyway, you drove a good race.

Yes, i saw that during these first few laps : you were slower and unstable in that turn. Maybe because you were too many rising on the 2 kerbs in the chicane in order to brake later... I didn't... or a setting question, perhaps.

See you soon :)
