Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=358&theme=5)
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Yep Works great. Knew the layout from GPL but the 'look' is VERY different. Finding it very hard to get the DBR1 to turn in. Can I have a Mini instead? ;)

Try driving the Maserati. Then you'll realise that the DBR1 steers just fine.

Replay and results now posted.

Disregard the small grid. This race had some of the best, close quarters racing I seen in a very long time. Superb.

Please check out the 2nd Poll regarding next seasons start time here (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=11141.0)

Choose right car, fastest laps with car class in practice, qualifying and race.  Race followed what seems to be becoming a pattern - reasonable start, avoid first lap chaos and hang together a few good laps (for me, I seem to be terribly off the pace in each race these days).  Then whilst battling with the faster drivers for position, I exceed my capabilities and bounce off the scenery, usually on a fast section and either damage car or my confidence.  ::)

Wot Tony said. Tony polled, Navin went off to get a wheelbarrow to give us mortals a chance
And battle commenced. These cars are hard to drive fast, too much power for the handling typically.
I took the 4.5 Maserati to try to give Navin a challenge, and it worked perfectly,
There was lots of grown up side by side action with different people. I went over the grass twice at the hairpin
but managed not to hit anyone (or they managed to avoid me...) and had Navin either side by side or a few
seconds behind for the last half of the race. there were 4 of us in a line for a few laps mid race.
Was much closer than the result suggests.

This is a cracking series, it may be a choice of Monday or Tuesday I guess, but if you can make it, it's well
worth the effort usually.  :thumbup1:

Whilst watching the replay it was clear that the different cars had strengths and weaknesses at various parts of the circuit. Navin's Jag was great on the twisties but suffered for long straight acceleration and speed. The Maza's had to take corners slower than the other cars but could catch anything and pass them on the long straights. Tha Aston just about had middling capability but could take high speed corners faster than the Maza.

I also found a really noticeable handling difference when I went out on new tyres after my pit stop. I had found that the car had no feel to the steering at turns 1,2 & 3 but this was not evident after the stop.

Didn't expect to see the chattered flag - that was a funny but demanding one.
Love these cars more and more and hope to master also the others and not
only the Maserati 4,5  ;D

CU next week,

And Bill : there were enough events during the past weeks where you have been
better and/or faster than me - so don't worry  ;)

What an absolute blast that race was. I'll say that this series has been the most fun and the biggest surprise of the year ;D. I practiced a bit with the DB-1 and 2 before the race and then did a few laps in the Jag. I really didn't like the Jags tendency for throttle on snap oversteer but realized that it would be the best choice for some good close racing. And boy howdy that was the best thing I could of done :).  Had some of the best close racing of the year 8). I could fly though the first half of the track and then lose time on the back half. Matt was very consistant driving the beast ;) and I was a little less with the twitchy Jag. I sure hope that more racers will give this series a try or those that have before give it another run ;).  Come on fellas the water is fine!! Thanks for the good racing fellas and congrats to Matt for a solid win and to Kurt for a well deserved 3rd place.
