Tyre wear: Normal

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=358&theme=5)
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

 :(

Good offline practice the day before in different cars, also good free practice
yesterday matching my pb, good quali with new pb and awaiting a good race
as well, but ...
Ended up in nirvana/black hole behind the wall in lap two - it's a shame  ???

Grats to Ross for the win and to the podium - and - hey Tony - go on for the
championship  :D

GOod fun. Navin overhandicapped himself a bit, I initially took the monster 5 ltr Maser as usual
but would have been several seconds too fast compared to the other entries, so took the DBR2
and had fun chasing Tony, I was a bit quicker and was getting closer, but spin into La Source
and didn't have enough laps to catch.

Thanks for those links, I'll have a look.

Yep good to get a race in these cars again, it's a great mod.

Went for the lower powered Maserati, not really being sure on overall performance with the cars (Mainly 'cos I liked the White/Red Stripe Livery).  Then Eifel turned up in the same one, so I thought I'd better get a respray, and opted for a 'Red' one :-) .  Tried the D-Type, but 4 speed wasn't for me.

Once the race started the gap to Tony & Navin was close, but opening up gradually.  It looked like the Testarossa was a bit down on top speed, so Navin fell back.  Tony stayed close, but lap by lap the gap marginally increased. 'Old' Spa is great for these cars, great fun all the way.

Hopefully I'll be around for most of the remaining rounds.  Just a shame I missed a few in the middle.

Thanks again for setting this series up.

Great fun as usual, this 50's mod is the mutts alright. And next seasons races (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=374&theme=5) are all but finalised (still subject to change however) and will hopefully satisfy all drivers.

Last night was great fun. Initially I went for the 57 Jag but it seemed to lose out at the top end of the box so switched to my favourite Aston. Glad I did as I was able to keep Matt behind me although his spin helped me get to the end untroubled. I had earlier pulled an audacious pass on Navin of which I was rather proud   and was then able to pull away from him. The remainder of the race was just about keeping the car on the tarmac and watching for signs of tyre wear. The next one will be a completely different affair............it has killer lamp posts :o

Unofficial LapChart (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/GTL/GTLegends_spa1967_2012_10_30_20_44/)

After flipping the Merc and some nice skirmishes with Bill, just couldn't keep up.

Very daunting but nice track tho.

Congrats to the podium.

Lost it all again in qualifying, couldn't complete a timed lap.  :hammer: :hammer: Improved for race and set a new PB racing with Alex. Then got too cocky again and overcooked it jumping the fence and going into the never ending spin to oblivion. ::) ???

Before the race I was trying several cars to find a balance for some good racing but with this tracks long long straights it was perhaps impossible to do :-\. I didn't feel like driving the Jag again because for me it's a twitchy thing that makes driving more work than fun. Gave the Ferrari a first try and loved it's handling traits. Wished I had tried it before as it might be my new favorite despite it's lack of top speed. Before the race I thought the race might be closer with the front guys as I was only off their time by 2-3 seconds. But in the race the others found a bit more speed while I was already at my max limit. And yes Tony!! That was a very well executed pass as it took me a bit by surprise :o. I looked back before the corner(Masta) and thought "Tony will wait for the next straight for the pass". And then BINGO!! you stuck one on me like Ol' Nigel Mansell use to do so well :P :D. It was well done as you drove in deep that didn't affect my entry at all but I thought you might have trouble on the exit because of your middle of the track corner entry, but that was not the case and on you went ;D. After that I saw Matt was closing down on me as well and I was a lame duck. Matt dispatched me quickly and was on my own for the rest of the race but that was OK as the Ferrari really is fun to drive and as always love this version of Spa 8).
Sorry Kurt about your bad luck as I know the frustration of practicing a lot before this track and then having the rug pulled out from underneath oneself. I got over the wall on the backside of the track(Holowell) a couple of years ago and was unable to continue as I couldn't find a way back to the track . Thanks to all the usual suspects for showing up 8). Congrats to Ross for the victory and I really hope you continue in this wonderful series :).
