Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see

Seems similar here. Track looks a little better, still has some bumps, but works well
These cars are just fast enough to get some interesting slides going

Due to the Simbin lobby still being un-available at the time of writing you need to change your LOCAL_IP_LOBBY.TXT files contents to this 91.121.102.7

This will connect you to the Pilsbierbude lobby (run by Altbierbude)

Remember to keep a copy of the original file somewhere safe (not in the same place).

I did the above and connected straight away without needing to register or anything.

Suggest you try it out preferably before race night  ::)

Should the Simbin lobby re-appear we will post here so watch this space.

Another ploy to make us all buy iRacing?

We have had trouble with simbin lobbies going away in the past.
If alt bierbude are happy with it, then we might as well point ourselves
at their lobby. They also have had problems in the past, but they
tend to sort stuff quite well.

Stig, you can also try to repeat this procedure, overwriting the text in the Local_IP_Lobby.txt with this one: "gtr2lobby.bier-buden.de" or "file.bier-buden.de". If it doesn't work with your old User/password, try to make a new registration. If it doesn't work even this way, the last attempt you can do, unless you just installed it in advance, is the installation of the GTR2 No DVD patch, cause some people managed to join the lobby only with the No CD. Link => http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=2282 (http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=2282)

Just make some attempts before to give up :)

Tony is right, this track is really easy and short. I did a few laps (offline) yesterday with the 275 GTB/C, and my laptimes were close to 1.08.2 in race trim. I would expect that my lap times will be a bit higher online. I Can figure a mid-high 1.07 could be a good lap in qualif fuel  ???
Do you have a time reference for the Jags?

We will see what happens this evening... Cu later :)

Do you have a time reference for the Jags?

I've managed 1:06.6 in the Ferrari and about a second slower with the 4-spd lightweight Jag. Both on low fuel.

Edit - actually, with a bit of tinkering have now got 1:06.8 with the Jag.

I can't put up a dedicated server neither, so something must be wrong at Pilsnerbudweiser :- ))

I can however host a game ...... I think..... could someone please try to join it?

It's called SimracingUK- Hotkeys, and the password is the same.

TCP port: 34347

If Stig can get a server up we can join, and people are ok with it, then we can run the event
If not and the server doesn't come back up in the next few mins, then the event will need
to be cancelled, and I will run it on another date.

Too many people may not join now, so if you want to start a fun race that's great
but it won't be an official championship event.

Thanks for doing the admin Tony.
3 regulars missing, (me included) but looked like Cap7 gave John a good race, great stuff.

I am waiting for v3 to be released, looks quite soon now. I may add one more event for a season finale
and then run as many non champ events as we need to to keep the ball rolling.
Then we can start with some V3 series.  ;D

Thanks Matt nice combo.  My night was a bit like the Curates Egg - good in parts.  ::)  Still trying to sort out where all the data is situated when driving,  ??? also a few seconds late on turning off the ignition.  Forgot needed to get rid of refuelling on pit stop or enough for splash and dash.  :hammer:

Practice went well, able to hang laps together to sort out tyre overheating.  New fastest laps all around, prac/qual/race.  Made good start and ended first lap in 4th but then accelerated too heavy/early and spun onto infield, rejoined in last.  Then I managed to hang together a run of good laps, passing Kurt when he had an off and keeping fairly constant gap behind Alex.  Front tyre wear started to affect my turn in and I ran a bit wide allowing Alex to get away.  About 2/3rds distance I screwed up bit time exiting the last corner hitting the Armco and damaging the front suspension.  :'( I managed to limp back to pits and like Kurt lost a couple of laps for my troubles, rejoined again about 40 odd secs ahead of him and had a steady drive to the end.  An enjoyable evening despite problems - thanks folks.

Unofficial LapChart (http://www.justanotherpage.nl/Srou/PnG/GTR2_06_pukekohe_park_2012_10_25_20_40/)

Just realised that this was the last race of the Aussi/NZ season. Looks an aeon ago that I 'won' the first race on an empty track.
Since then only moved backwards to a 6th place just after Tony. Congrats WT. In the team championship somehow managed to win from the Bustards. Yeah!  ;D

Congrats to John, Clive and of course SpecialKS.

Shame Bill, we could have had a good fight. Always kept me eye on the pitboard and noticed you were right on my tail for quite some time. Good drive!

Indeed, there will be at least one more event in the series. I may do a couple more
to try to sync with Tony's two series. Depends on P&G 3 to some extent.
I would like to kick off new series with V3 soonest, rather than run weeks of V2 series
that people will be less interested in.

BTW.  :sorcerer: there may be some "staff changes" at the end of these current series.

We will advertise in other threads, but, if anyone is interested in assisting in or running
their own series with P&G v3 Thursday night same sort of format, please PM Myself and Tony.

Thanks, yes we could have had good fight, from lap 16 to lap 23 I was about 7 secs behind you and could see you in the slower bits as the distance closed - gives that extra incentive.  Unfortunately at the end of lap 23 I had my mishap. and that was that.
