Title: V8 Team Championship
Post by: Clive Loynes on August 30, 2012, 10:15:49 AM +0100
MARA and Flatout are nearing the end of a team championship using the Historic Touring Car mod.  The next season looks like it may be a four way battle using the V8 mod as posted here:-

Is there any interest from SimRacing.org.uk?

Would be great to see SROUK involved in this.

For those who've not raced rF recently, I can highly recommend it. Some of these later mods are of fantastic quality and the latest V8s are a great example of this. Would only need a handful of takers to get a team up  :)

I'm hoping to get the track installed and have a bash on the MARA server later tonight.

I find the FF system in rFactor to be a nightmare but Tudor can give you some guidance on that.

Getting the ffb feeling right is certainly a nightmare and was one of the things that put me off racing rF until recently. If you ask 100 different people you are likely to get at least 100 different opinions on what works best.

The basic rF ffb feels a bit dated now, so many use additional ffb plugins. There is a good guide to using Realfeel ffb and Leos ffb combined (a popular choice for many) here....

Personally I now find that using just Realfeel with some rF canned effects (and not using Leos) suits me best. Others prefer to just use Leos ffb.

It's worth spending some time with it and doing some head scratching to get the best results for you.

its a toughy.

after 5 praccy laps i managed 1:32.7 but should be able to knock a second or 2 off that.

The Holden seems more stable to me but I still think Fords are better.

It has taken me twenty minutes to realise how the speed limiter is switched off!

Done one corner and retired to see if the awful music can be switched off.

Well, as expected, you are ten seconds a lap faster than my best effort.

Never do get on with modern stuff! >:(

EDIT  Managed to get down to 1:35 but Tudor is in the 1:25s   :o
