Early bath for me :(.  I was in a comfortable 5th place being towed along by the 2 Brabs and a Cooper when I ended up on the outside at Stavelot (in hindsight I should have held back but the draft was so good I would of had to brake quite heavily to stay behind).  Andreas was on my inside when he spun and I got punted out into the wall (racing incident IMO).  It looks like there was a bit of warp involved.  I should know better than to put my car in such a vulnerable position.  At least I survived, in real life I wouldn't have been so lucky!

missed the start through fiddling with me set up (no race fuel ) started from pit lane , caught the tailenders up and was looking forward to some good drafting , then about lap 4 there was a fezzer (spitoom) stuck across the road halfway through Eau rouge which I couldnt avoid , after my car did an impression of a catherine wheel crossed with a barrel roll with pike I landed upright on all 4 wheels and set off in pusuit , but by now the pack had dissapeared over the horizon , so began the most boooooring race I have had in a long time , so boring I had to send out for a couple of matchsticks to prop my eyelids open   ::)

iGor showed me a lap down on the leaders because of my start situation , not that it makes any difference to the end result and at least I finished a 66 mod race and all in one piece for a change  :D

Grats to H and the podium chaps , well done to all who finished and commiserations to all who didn't , at least you got the hot water , fresh soap and clean towels  ;)

While the handicap chassis wasn't too painful at the last round, Spa in a Group 1 car was a rather different matter... It felt a bit harsh being the only person handicapped too as with nobody else to race with it was a bit of a lonely run at the back. I profited from other people's misfortunes to gain quite a few places during the opening laps but the Mclaren was such a sitting duck down the long straights that everyone could just breeze back past. Still it was fun to watch all the close battles on Prib & at least finishing 7th I could look forward to not being in the handicap car for the next round. Aww wait a minute... :hammer: Congrats to Hristoric, Clive & John.

While my race was nothing to write home about, things might have been different if only they had not placed a house in the middle of the track, I want to congratulate Hristo, Evil and John who took his first ever podium in a Historic race ,and of cause Al for making the best of the situation, and you know what? For the next race you will not be alone in your group I car, Evil will join you and Rainier will be in a group II car.

Hi there,

all in all I see it the same way. But anyway I am really sorry that you were out of the Race.  :( Me had better luck, could continue without major damage. Only got back from second spot to 8th or something. Then I was on the hunt back to the frontrunners. Afterwards had a big Battle with John for 3th Position. Think in the very last lap I made a mistake so John was safe on the Podium  8) . All in all I am happy for scoring my first points in the Historics with UKGPL.  :)
So Grats to the Podium and all Finishers.
So long
Andreas

and much fun that battle was , it's always nice to race hard but fair . i have a feeling that very soon you will be on the podium in historics and if a couple of the faster drivers drop off a first win .

when lady luck does shine on you grab it with both hands , all the best .
