Title: rf2 1960's F1 Championship
Post by: purdie on September 27, 2012, 11:50:47 AM +0100
I have got involved with some guys in the US on the rF2 forum about starting a 60's F1 championship. I mentioned the potential of guys from here joining, so thought I would outlay what has been discussed so far. It is going to be based around US Central Time, so 5-6 hours behind. The good news is they want to do it Sunday afternoon their time, therefore a Sunday evening time slot for us; worst case it will be 9-10pm start with an approx finish of 12 I guess.

This is where we are at -

I propose:

1. We get together on Sunday afternoons in USA
2. Each of us pick a track
3. We race one of these tracks each weekend (or every other)
4. Maybe start out with a Brabham spec race
5. We race two short races.
race 1: 10 laps to get familiar with each other and not worry about mistakes.
then 5 min qualy for race 2
race 2: 20 (or so) laps

Any other ideas are welcome.

If your keen, even if not 100% sure yet, please say. I have done a poll because.....   who doesn't enjoy a poll?  :D

I have not purchased it yet although I do intend to get before final release.

I could be interested when I do have it as long as it does not clash with GTR2 races. Looks like it could do though. :(

Did this come to anything Purdie because I got the beta and got my money back because it just wouldn't run properly for me. Now that my PC has had some Christmas upgrades it might be possible again.

No unfortunately, they got as far as a few fun races but never 'formalised' it  :-\ I moved onto PnG waiting for further rF2 progress!
