It's best if you create a standalone GTL install (copy your GTL to a temp folder, rename it e.g. REAL GTL, then copy back to your usual directory. Path the install to the new REAL GTL you have just created).  Install ver 1.0 first then update with the ver 1.3 install. Run the sim and purchase the cars.
We will not be able to use any skin packs with this mod.

Time of Day Setting: 15:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk BSCC
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=377&theme=5)

Special Notes: None

Are there any car restrictions later in the season based on the choice we make in this race?

No Syd, none. The only "restrictions" are the ones already shown in each race announcement for this series.

A quick test last night and the tanks and the tina were all within a tenth of each other  :thumbup1: Forgot to test the Mini  ::)

1:54 is my best so far, anybody else got a laptime so I can know if I'm in the right area?

My best is high 54s with race fuel in the tina. Haven't really explored the other cars, but I'm guessing a well driven tank will be hard to beat.

Managed to get the Falcon down to 1:54 now too, though am definitely more stable in the Tina obviously.

The Mrs seemed to hint that I could join at 8:30pm, even if the kids aren't asleep yet (though any married men reading this know, that the lord giveth & the lord can quickly/often take away...)

Kids? plural? How many have you manufactured now?
Last I heard you had just had the 1st one.

Brands is a fascinating track but I hate it.
I've never found a suitable setup and/or a
driveable line to master Paddock Hill Bend
in particular???

At the end of lap one I completely missed my
braking point and then already was 15 seconds behind.

After some more problems at Paddock Hill Bend I lost
motivation and quit.

CU next time

Good fun dicing with Legzy and Oliver. Oliver passed twice then spun under power onto the finish straight both times
2nd time I think he threw his wheel out of the window in disgust :(

Two now mate, both just like their mum (read into that what you will :P)

Was chuffed I got to race, had to make all kinds of deals with the oldest for her to guarantee she wouldn't leave her room (extra story + biscuit + etc etc). Even got to see about 8 mins of qually, but managed to put it in the wall twice on both my timed laps, meaning I was back row of the grid anyway
Falcon power blasted me off the start line & up to about 6th by T1. The had some great racing with phspok & Oliver, where it took me till about my third pass before I finally made it stick :sweatdrop:.

Great close racing which isn't easy to do in those tanks!

Congrats all, especially Team Oldie drivers

Great Race,
Qualified in a good position, and managed to get a decent start losing 1 position. Made a mistake on the first lap (as usual) and it put me into last position. Had a fantastic little battle with Bill (great side by side racing).  :)  Managed to get past Bill. Then I needed to catch up Tony. Caught up Tony and started to follow not being able to make a move because the Mini was so quick in the corners. Tony came out on top in the end after I had a spin, Grrr. Never managed to catch Tony back up so in the end I decided to settle with 7th.

Congratulations to Dad  ;D ;) :notworthy:  :)

Thanks to Tony for putting yet again another fantastic race on!  :)

When you passed me for that second time Jules you had me. I just couldn't catch you, think my tyres were beginning to show their age. It was only that unfortunate spin that let me back in front. Nice driving tho.

:) Started P2 Finished P2.  Never really put any pressure on Goldtop as he got in his grove early and gradually increased his lead lap by lap. Then I spun it in the usual place pushing to hard and dropped 6 or 7 seconds. Pulled a bit back by the finish but was generally bored all race I'm afraid.  :-\ I have never really mastered this track you have to be very accurate with your lines here and there and it doesn't like my shall we say "thinking out of the box" race lines. I believe Brands Hatch and I just don't see eye to eye.....Still I'm happy with P2 but it would have been nice to take the battle to Goldtop.  :)

Well done Legzy and a big up to Team Oldie  ;D

Too many unforced errors. New PB in qualifying, made good start but had Yank Tank chop across me in T1, Lap1and had to go onto grass to avoid contact. Got cut track warning for my action.

Put in some good laps until ran wide and lost about 6 secs, after that had a few good laps then an off. Ran like that until end, setting a new PB in the process.

Enjoyed that. Was able to get a fair bit of practise in with Jules which helped me sort my lines and develop a nice setup. The braking and entry line into Paddock was key to me achieving a good laptime here and it served me well during quali and race. Was gradually able to build a gap back to Mark and hold onto it until he lost a few seconds allowing me to ease off towards the end.

After the race I'd got the Brands bug and fired up nKPro for a few laps in the Abarth. Great fun  :)
