Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk GTC
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=375&theme=5)

Special Notes: None

Sorry Tony, I've obviously missed something while I was in iRacing exile... Does the bit I've highlight mean I can drive the Porka 911RSR 3.0 or the Porka 914-6 No.370? ???

If I know the answer to that, I'll be able to work out the other substitutes/choices.

p.s. My anti-virus program would not let me download the SROUK version of DucFreaks Alfa sound pack, so I got the original from here (http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=16140) in case anybody else has that problem.

Your right Chris, Driving either car counts as a drive in the 911. The 914 was provided as a substitute car for those who dislike the 911.

Gutted. :'(
Was running round in a comfortable 3rd place having already built up a nice cushion to the cars behind & BANG! Lost connection to lobby ??? >:(

I'm far more gutted about losing the drive than the position, discovering that Boss Mustang was a very late revelation!

Good luck to the rest of you

Fantastic Race,
Got a good position in Qual not happy really with my time becuase I made a mistake which I lost about a second. Didn't get enough practice in for this race so I wasn't as consistant as i'd hoped. Had a great battle with Syd couldn't make a move becuase we seemed to be about the same speed. Made a mistake and ended up spinning around and hit a poor marshal's car. Tried to catch up Syd but that mistake cost me too much time and the race was nearly over. Had a battle with Senyorlobo which was great fun.  :)

Congratulations to Dad  :) :D ;D  :notworthy:

And all finishers  :)

Thanks for putting yet again another superb race on Tony.  :)

??? Now here is a riddle for you all. I qualified P2 again behind Glodtop whom seems to have the measure of the Porsche and drove really well. :)  Just before the end of quali my gears suddenly turn to automatic gears and its the same at the race.  :o Struggled all the way through the race with 3rd gear corners suddenly changing down to 2nd gear resulting in a few offs and a roll.  :-\ Some how kept it going to finish P2 but I had hoped to stay with Goldtop for at least a few laps. :-\................. Anyways came out of multiplayer and checked  the realism window to find it had been switched to automatic gears.  :(  Very strange so restarted GTL and went back in to find the box now un-ticked as it should be......very very strange indeed!!

Congratulations to Goldtop and Syd for their podiums.....I'm just happy to finish.  ;)

:) I love the Boss Legzy. It just wasn't quite fast enough for this track and its a bit fond of chewing tyres.  ;D Shame about your disconnection.  :(

One of my favourite tracks and my favourite GTL car.

I remember last years race and how I almost threw away a win by making some silly mistakes, so was determined to get it right this time. Had my eye on Mr. Berger's quali time from last year and just managed to beat it putting me on pole. Had a great start and from then on was just a case of keeping my concentration, which is always a challenge.

I've had the auto gears thing happen a few times Mark, but always managed to avoid it going to grid, think it's just a GTL bug which raises its head occasionally....bad luck though mate.

Not sure what I'll drive when the Porsches run out  :-\

Yes, was a great battle.  :fencing:

For me was a bit boring race  :(
Alone all the race. Only when Jules make a mistake I had a little fun with him.
I hope more racers for the next races.

cogrants goldtop, cinberdy and syd drake for the podium and all finishers.

See you!

Yes, with a small grid, when we miss some regular drivers it really shows. No Navin, Kurt or Matt last night.

I had a very quiet race but I still have a garage full of Porsches. It was great fun watching Oly fight with the Pantera and lose. That's a real beast mate. Legzy, sorry for your disco, you were lagging really badly then you just froze. The Boss may be more suitable for the next one at Kyalami even tho it's on the limiter before the first turn  :o
Nice to see the 914's being put to such good use, I've never been a fan but you guys were getting some great pace out of them.
