Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk GTC
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=375&theme=5)

Special Notes: None

I'm not here for this one but it will be set up and ready to run on the server (hopefully).

If any one is able to take over server duties it would be appreciated. Don't need to do the results unless you want too. They can wait until I return.

Well, first I forgot to change my fuel from qually level to race level. So I had to pit at the end of lap 4. And then just as I was catching Bill, I got disco'ed.

Unlucky GT, I've no doubt at all that I'd have had both you & Mark snapping at my heals applying the presure towards the end of the race otherwise :sweatdrop:

I'm just chuffed, my first win since Oct '11 ;D

Love that Boss302! Tyre's were shot, so it was like driving on ICE, but the length of that straight kept me safe

Well done to finishers.

p.s. What happened to Mr Drake? You seemed to have it truely sussed tonight, did you start with qually fuel? :-\ (know the answer now :()

Thanks Tony/Matt for organising delightful track/cars combo - pity we're getting such poor attendance.  Come and Join Us, come and join us - GTL races, not Salvation Army.

Off pace as usual but met my usual race aims, not last to finish (by others misfortune unfortunately), have a decent scrap with someone and set new PBs all round.  Had my usual scrap with Kurt  :fencing: - kept him honest until late in race.  Moved off line and lifted to let Matt through and had excursion onto the grass losing to much time in process and taking pressure off Kurt.  :hammer:

:) I wanted to try a different tactic here rather than play P2 to Goldtops Porsche again and after finding the white Pantera gear ratios were all wrong for this track I opted for the Scirocco. I found this car a real joy to drive with foot off over steer followed by power out. You can get into some excellent tank slappers and just power out its great.  ;D

Qualified P3 but got mullered by Legzy  :D who came from behind in a flying Stang so settled into P4 until Syd ran out of fuel!!  ;) I then watched the Goldtop, Legzy battle and managed to hang onto the pair of them. Legzy got the better of Goldtop via brute horse power passed and slowly pulled a gap and then little by little I reeled the Goldtop in BUT just when things got good he beamed out!!  :o :( I thought I was in for a win for while when Legzys tyres went off....I would see a cloud of dust in the distance indicating that the Stang was getting a bit loose  ;D but some how Legzy always managed to drag it back into play.  ;D Finished P2...Well done Legzy on the win all the best things are worth waiting for and Phspok for your P3.  :)

The Alfa and the VW seem well matched although the Alfa has slightly more power on the straights I think.

I too found the Alfa and VWs very similar in pace here, but the Alfa was a bit more fun for me. I fully expected to be 3rd or 4th by T1 with the grunt of the stangs off the line, so was relieved to still hold onto 2nd. I saw Legzy and Mark battling it out behind me which gave me a bit of breathing space for a few laps until Legzy got free and started to close me down. I thought I might be able to hang on to Legzy when he passed me, but had no chance and found that I actually lost time by pushing the Alfa too hard. Never noticed Syd in the pits and assumed he'd made a mistake when he appeared in last place after taking fuel. Easy mistake to make mate.

I settled into 2nd knowing that Mark would find it very difficult to pass with the slight grunt advantage of my Alfa, but then came my disco. That's 2 GTL races in a row now so I was really not a happy bunny  ::)

Well done Legzy on the win and to Mark and Matt for the podies  8)

Yes I found that.  I found it quicker to brake into corner to try and get the line right and then feed power in through the corner until I was on full power.  Also I found a good back axle ratio and reduced 5th until it just about hit the rev limiter at the braking point for T1 (4th to 5th was very short).
