Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk GTC
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=375&theme=5)

Special Notes: None

Thanks Tony.  I can understand why some drivers didn't want to participate as with all those walls you only need to be a few inches off line to crash at high speed and kill the car.  As I found out the hard way.

Pleased with my performance new PB in qualifying.  The first 3 laps were fantastic battling with Kurt but I was slip streaming down that very fast section to keep with him and try and out brake him for that 1st gear corner.  At the entry/apex of that fast curve taken at full bore I think Kurt may have just touched the wall I just clipped it and was thrown across the track into the wall the other side of track.  Early bath night.  ::) :'( Still another race on Thursday to look forward to - another day another track.

Well that was good fun. Think I qualied 2nd but was beaten to the first turn by Matts Alfa. GT and Matt then set off into the sunset and I maintained a constant distance from the following Kurt, also in a VW. After a costly spin, Kurt had me in his sights. I had atrocious front tyre wear by lap 12 so pitted to replace the fronts only. Took forever to get back on track and was immediately lapped by GT. Almost caught Kurt by race end and probably would of had I another couple of laps. The VW is the best car I've ever driven around this difficult track.
Like to see more drivers at the next one tho.

I remember racing the GP79 mod here and I didn't last very long  :o

Relieved to say things went better for me last night and no discos to spoil the fun. The panty's short gearing rules it out for many tracks, but here it was a good drive. Managed to keep it tame and away from the walls except for one little brush mid-race which woke me up.

I'm sure we'll have a few more out next time   :)

Had to pay attention to my front tyres during second half of the race and went out of fuel
on the last two laps - so I had to slow down.

Tony actually was the faster guy in the VW and Bill at the same level than me - so another lucky podium.
One and only positive consequence due to the small grid ;D

The Scirocco is a great drive here indeed - wished some more possibilities concerning the gearing.
