Server: simracing.org.uk GTC

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=375&theme=5)

Special Notes: None

Have a mismatch problem despite downloading the linked track and un-installing the earlier track and installing the correct one.  Just for luck un-installed it and reinstalled it again and couple of times - no luck.

Help please.

The server track is out of date. No time to fix now, just about to leave to visit relative in Hospital but will fix tonight.

Not really sure Bill, but I have heard it mentioned that deleting the HAT file can sometimes cure this. Worth a try anyway, it's at UserData>LOG>HAT just delete the Jarama file.

Edit: I should have read Tony's post :)

Server now updated. Please check that you have the right circuit installed on your PC. If in doubt, delete your current version and use the race announcement link to get the latest version.

Well that was the most frustrating, toughest, most tiring yet the most fun race I've had here.

Was waiting for Syd to make a mistake for the first 20 laps had Legzy right up my jacksie too but then I spun at the start of the strait which put me down to 3rd but managed to catch Legzy back up cos I thinks he spun a bit then with 2 laps to go we caught up with Syd again then an unlucky nudge made them spin and I managed to slide passed.

My first pole here and my first win so well happy.

See you for the next one I can make.

Well what an excellent race  8) with a rather unfortunate ending  :(

Clung on (just) to the tails of Syd & Quicksilver the whole race long, then with about 15 laps to go, QS fell off & I was in second. Then I span but stayed ahead of the now recovered QS & we moved up to catch Syd quite quickly. Was more difficult than normal following as Syd's strengths/weaknesses on this track seemed to be the opposite of mine & Qs's, leading to numerous slamming on the anchors! lol

Unfortunately with two & a half laps to go, running out of time I was trying to apply more pressure & look for half an opening when I clipped Syd & he span & I went off wide :(. Decided I had to take a drive through for my sin & tried to send a chat "sorry" with my preconfigured buttons, but they all came up with "lol / hello / go team oldie" (which I'm sure didn't improve Syd's mood. Sorry mate. :-[

Anyway, a few turns later, heading down the hill to the extra slow wiggly bit, I saw Syd flying down behind me like he was on a straight with no chance of braking so I pulled away from the turn to avoid an imminent smash up & I saw Syd fly off Dukes of Hazard style towards a wall. I drove round & did my drive through & was pleased to see Syd pass me while I was in there, but I guess the Alfa was pretty damaged after that as I quickly caught & passed.

Congrats to QS on the win & sorry again to Syd for the spin

Chuffed to get 2nd place in qually. Was quick of the line and only remembered too late that my car was now fully fuelled and not running on skinny latte like in qually. Hence even with full anchors heavily applied I still slammed into the concrete wall at the 1st turn and codsed the suspension. Whilst trying to catch the field I passed a spun Matt but he caught me up later  ;)
After I crashed out I watched the race between QS, Syd and Legzy from Legzy's bonnet cam and it was awesome. Some great dicing, shame I missed the end as I suffered the inevitable lost connection. League looks interesting.

Yeah, you can imagine how I was feeling when just after spinning me you were going lol and go team oldie. I was seeing red. :) But then I ran out of fuel on the last lap, so that means I wouldn't have won anyway. Shame, after leading the first 30 laps. Also why am I not third? I retired half way through the last lap, Bill didn't even start it.

This has occured before and the answer given is that actual finishers will take precedence over non-finishers.

Tony, I agree with Syd, I never passed him he should be awarded 3rd place, he deserved it.

Anyone object to me altering the results to reflect the above?

Please pm me if you do.

If I have heard nothing by this time next week I'll make the change.

Another nice car/track combo which I think favoured the VW - tried all the other cars but fighting under steer all the time or flick over steer when I tried to sort it.  ::) ???

Lack of practice again with lap times reducing the longer I drove competitively.  Had a bit of a battle with Kurt after he had a off and I managed to get by but he soon passed me again.  Then after another off I passed him again, I was able to exploit fwd through the twisty bits and stay ahead and put in 3 or 4 consecutive  PBs :fencing: and then Kurt dropped back to about 20 secs when I eased off and drove steady till the end.

Had a quick look and post with wife's iPad and was surprised to come 3rd.  First chance I've had to fire up PC.  ;D

I thought I should spread my car usage a bit so tried the BOSS and the Pork
and was annoyingly faster in the POrk, but was spinning off for fun so went with the
easier 914 and was having fun except my frame rate kept dropping so low I could
count the frames which made driving awkward, I kept accelerating hard and spinning
under power, then set off after the pack having bent something against a fence
and came over a brow to find Tony sat in the middle of the track, sorry couldn't
avoid and wrecked my car at least.

I had a frame rate problems too. Track seems to be very unoptimized.

No frame rate problems with my PC, every thing ran like clockwork.
