Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk FIFT
Password: see above (#post_event_password)

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=374&theme=5)
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Not my best (and I like Spa...). Started cautiously and felt my car was quicker than Bill's but not enough to try and pass on cold tyres. First time down to Malmedy Bill went wide and I nipped past but caught the barriers trying to stay out of his way. Puncture. LOOONG way to the pits which put me two minutes down. Slowed up a bit to catch some racing after a quick trip over the wall (you can rejoin at the pits and luckily the trees are very forgiving...

Unfortunately lost concentration as EiffelBlitz went past and that put Bill on my tail (albeit a lap up). I wanted to see if I could stay with him and a clumsy attempt to let him past managed to put me 6 seconds back. After that he just drove away.... setup was poor and the gearing was obviously wrong but I had it set as long as the game would allow but I needed more headroom down to Masta.

Still fun though.

Q: Do you guys chat in the lobby after the race?

Hmm mark that one under "should have done better". Impossible to match the pace of GT and Ross so had to settle for a third. Enjoyable but a bit lonely. Only other car I saw was Badblood and he was on the wrong side of a fence  ::)
Wish we could have had more interest in this series...........for me it's the best thing in GTL at the moment.

Sorry about that BadBlood, I had the same problem when you eased off to let me by I had to lift and lost it bouncing between the Armco - luckily no permanent damage.

Thanks Tony nice car/track combo, that is the problem on long tracks as soon as you lose contact it's a long lonely drive.  Only car I saw after my first lap off was BadBlood when I caught him up to lap him.

New PBs all around again, I finished and didn't get lapped so it was a winner from that point of view.

Hope now with winter upon us we'll get a few more entries to race against.  :thumbup1:

Arrived late with no practice, and fancied the Ferri 375 as it looked fast in the stats screen, wasn't really so fast, and the diff needed
some sorting as it went sideways on every power application, sort of got the hanf of it after a few laps but no one to race
and then several mistakes made me a target for Kurt, who became invisible in my game (and replay) it said 3 secs behind
but I could see and hear nothing. Once I think we must have been almost side by side but although I could half hear a car
I had no idea where it was.  :o

Disappointing race for me. What looked like a race long battle shaping up with Ross was cut short before it really got going when I spun out of the lead at Stavelot  :wetfish: A bent car and another mistake through Eau Rouge meant I had a lonely few laps to the finish  :(

Well done to Ross for great pace and what seemed to be a faultless drive and to all those who finished  8)

LOL - I was hoping to get away with that one. It is not recommended BUT is IS a safe way to let the leaders past ;)

@Bill: Sorry I bashed you mate. It wasn't so much I eased off as the barriers rather put a crimp in my acceleration - lol.

I second that!

Lonely but funny race for me too. Chasing Matt during the second half but couldn't
get closer than 4 seconds and then my tyres (especially the left rear tyre) worsened
so I had to concentrate on finishing during the last laps.

Always nice to race with you, guys!

Is there anything planned for season 14?

There are no Fifties events on the calendar for next year  :( but there's loads of other great stuff coming  ;D

Yeah - I've already seen it - great stuff.
And a big thanks for all your efforts.

I'm thinking about focussing on GTL next season (there are so many new cars and
mods - look at all the releases by Brickyard Legends Team and others) - I love P&G,
but V 3 / V 3.1 turned too "professional" for me and I still found no feeling for GPL
(of course too little practice). On the other hand I fell in love with the HistoriX mod
for rfactor.
The all restricting factor for me simply is the lack of time for checking out all these new
cars and mods.

Came to the same conclusion with P&G very good graphics and physics but too many drivers take it all too serious and that 2 mins default on the start really wound me up, particularly those who made it last 1 min 59 sec. Cars are too fragile for my driving - keep kissing the scenery and killing them.

Long may GTL continue.

Once the race started, it all went as well as it could for me.  A great couple of early laps close behind Goldtop. I wasn't going to try, or close enough to try) any risky pass early on, so followed, and was able to keep up.

After I got ahead, was able to keep, and just stretch the lead.  I'd considered the Ferrari 375 for this event, also based on its stats in the menu, but as I found to my cost @ Monza, the 375 doesn't live up to its promise on the fast straights.

Despite what's said about it being lonely on track, I really enjoy just getting the car around Spa anyway, the challenge of keeping the momentum through the sweeps is fun enough, especially when you know you'ew 1 error away from losing the lead, though of course, a bigger grid would be even better.

It'd be a real shame to have no LM55 mod running at UKGTL, as its my favorite mod for the GTL sim at the moment.

Thanks all for the racing
