WELCOME to the UKGPL S23 Xmas Break Fun Races

"A Race Through Time"

Monza 1967, well known...
Loved by lots of drivers and hated by some...

Everybody is welcome!

We will do 4 x F1 Races with the F1 mods

- Dec 21  -> 66 + 69X

You will have a free car choice, but you should stay with the make for all 4 races as far as possible.
If you take e.g. a 67 Eagle you can not take a car in the next races that is available in all 4 mods like a Lotus or Ferrari or Brabham.

I see you have used BT11 and Eagle cars  :o

I think you should still be able to do the 66 and 69 races but you might find your results will be voided ,

It is only a fun race so I say race and dont let it worry you  :)

Hi bernie,

sounds to me like problems with the installed/not installed tracks or something with the sound. Have you tried to change some settings with them?

Andreas

To avoid track issues, choose "67season" in the middle of GEM+

Thanks for this Axel, a really good idea and one that deserves a re-run at another familiar track sometime :)
I am proud of my performances in the BRM, a car that is mostly off the pace in most peoples hands and yet I fared quite well depite the mostly pro-level opposition.
Good racing guys :)

excellent idea, i agree this is worth further consideration!
grats to Tris and Paul.
in the lotus 43 i was never gunna be able to compete, got nudged in to barrier on entry to curva on lap 1 SR &SG then found someone side ways at para, was last at the time anyway so called it a day. :'(

69 was much better, nice to race with the pros and had a really good battle with Paul, all in all very good.thanks all

Would like to see this again

Edit: with the chassis rules a bit stricter/enforced, hhhmmmmm.

I guess I should apologise for my less than enthusiastic involvment in these 2 races, but I plead "fatigue".

In the line of business, I was "forced" to attend the Mclaren Christmas party at their Headquarters on Thursday evening and suffer free food, a firework display, a presentation of raffle prizes by Mr Dennis himself..OH! and of course I had to walk around all of those Mclaren cars. From the 70's right through the Senna era and up to the current F1's all parked around where I was on duty....sigh! life is tough :-\.

Probably the worst aspect was being alongside the Free Bar  and having to stay sober for the drive back afterwards whilst just about everyone else indulged. By the time we had packed up and found our way out of Woking it was Friday before I got home and I still had to go to work Friday morning....everyone say "awwww"  :(

I can feel the waves of sympathy washing over me and I am sure you can understand why I was so knackered for the Monza races. ::)

Back in the day I used to work for Serono Diagnostics based on the Woking Business Park where Mclaren are based. I could bore you with many stories but a couple that spring to mind are me beavering away in the lab one day only to look up at the window to find Mika Hakkkinen watching my every move, David Coulthard turning up in a Mclaren courtesy car and reversing into a parked car, oh yeah and Ron Dennis  giving us a Quality Management presentation early 1992. After extolling the virtues of the Mclaren car and Ayrton Senna, someone piped up from the back with yeah but Williams and Mansell are gonna kick your arse! Mr Dennis was not a happy bunny
